Contact info for EVOTECH???
I have googled them and can't seem to dig up a web site or phone number. Tried to PM & e-mail Adam but he has that service blocked.
Looking to have them do a custom tune on my E55. I plan to make some custom headers, eliminate pre cats, 100 cell main cats, pulley and cooling mods. Since the combo is not quite off the shelf I want it dyno tuned. In my past experances with both porsche and audi the custom tune made all the difference in the world.

Evotech is 100% NOT the way to go bro.
Personal experience and many negative posts as well.
Bout the only one that custom tunes right now is VRP in LA.

suggestions
Btw I have no issues with Evotech and have never had a problem with their tunes or service ...
I don't recommend them because I honestly don't know when he would be out here in the bay area.
My suggestion is to hit up Renntech and call Ken Rudy. Ask him when he will be available in the Bay Area(He does head out our way quite often). What Ken would then probably do is datalog your car on the dyno ... perhaps datalog your car doing a couple WOT runs (please be safe! ) then send it to Renntech HQ who would have a custom tune for you the next day. This way you DON'T need to unplug your ECU and send it out.
THAT is my suggestion.

If we could accomplish that with a mail order tune thats great. It has been my experance playing with tuning on both Audi & Porsche that custom tuning is the way to accomplish my goals. I would be happy to data log the parameters needed and accomplish my goals via e-mail/fed-ex if you prefer.

The man goal is end up with a good fuel & timing curve for the mods described. Since the fueling on the E55 is controlled via wideband getting the ratios close should not be tough. IIRC the range is +-25% of adjustment. I would want to be close to the middle of STFT and LTFT of the ECU adjustment range. The optimum timing would be having the ECU riding the knock sensors and pulling 5 degrees of timing and leaving 10 degrees of headroom to be pulled. This would allow the ECU to add up to 5 degrees of timing back in when conditions allow (cold temps or race gas) and still leave enough headroom to pull out 10 degrees.

From the mods you mentioned I'd say get VRP's tune, especially on an '06. Then, you can datalog and they will modify it as needed. By far the most work I have seen done on the 55K motors.
You are absolutely right that a custom tune makes the difference, but this one is sort of custom...

Vadim all the way for a custom tune, That is a no brainer! But the question is do you wanna pay for a true custom tune? With the mods you have I say try one of his tunes he already has.

nice
can't go wrong with either!
The CLKBS gonna be awesome ... if you get one I know that JRCart is finally going to have someone compete with him on a mod by mod level!
The R8 is gorgeous but I bet you trade it in after 5k miiles. It is just too damn slow. You wouldn't want my little SLK whooping your *** at the Sac Raceway would ya?![devil](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/devil.gif)
I think somone does make a supercharger kit for that audi V8 (MTM I think but its around 40k) Don't know if it would fit in the R8.
