The Darkside - My Murdered M5

Here is the arch-nemesis to my Arctic White E63. Sorry for the crappy pics. I woke up late and the sun was nice and bright. There was also a crumb of some sort on the lens which I didn't notice at the time.

2008 6 speed
Saphire/Black/Wood
OEM Wheels - Satin Black
Color Matched Side Vents and Kidneys
Smoked Tails
35% Tint
RD Sport Springs
Auto Talent UD Pulley
ESS ECU Flash
Ichiba Spacers 12mm/10mm
RPI Scoops/BMC Filters

Looking for a used E-Race Exhaust.
Looking for a 2008 trim kit (aluminum or CF).

NIIIICE, +1 on the carbon fiber roundels. Then get a front splitter and she's perfect. Looks like BTPower's car

thanks for all the compliments.

i've been looking for the black emblems and roundels, but don't know where to source them. the cf ones sound interesting also. can someone provide a link?

also, i almost pull the trigger on the vorsteiner front splitter, but i thought it would look weird without the rear. i don't want to get the rear until i find an exhaust.

Car looks great.
Were the tires free?
Based on the comments of others, I get the idea that the Conti's are not up to the handling level that the M5 is capable of.

the tires are the stockers. i'm going to burn them up and probably switch to ps2's at that time. most would agree that the ps2 is the best tire out there. however, i have heard some good things about the toyo tr1? at $1000 a set.

no dyno for me yet. people with similar mods are getting 30-40 whp or so.

Now we need to see the cars side by side to get a true perspective of this Yin-Yang project.

to be honest, they all get rotated including my allroad.

i probably love driving the m5 the most, but it is more demanding. i usually only drive this car when i'm by myself and don't have any distractions (kids). the 6speed is also a nuisance in LA traffic so i avoid this car if i'm doing a lot of stoplight driving or if i'm driving in rush hour.

the e63 is a nice comfortable car with just enough edginess to it. when i'm just cruising around, i find very little difference than my old R500. the auto makes it nice for short trips around town and the car is stealthy enough surprise people with its acceleration.

the wagon is a great car to tote the kids around in especially when you have to haul a lot of junk.
