Looking to Get Out of 2007 E63 Lease
Well I just lost my job and the lease payment for my 2007 E63 will stress my finances. It is a 48 month lease with 31 months remaining. The car has 19,500 miles. The total miles is 48,000. I am paying $1280/month without tax. I was thinking about using Swapalease. The lease is through US Bank.
The car is a flint grey with P2.

2008 E63
swapalease and leasetrader are pretty good. in all honesty you're going to have to offer up a decent incentive. you can get into a new car for less for 27 months. beyond that, you're over on the mileage by 2500 currently. that equates to about $375.

Update from 2008
Well in the time I last posted this (about 20 months ago) I had a total of 6 weeks of work. What a country. Outsource to cheap foreign labor ... a country that does not take care of its own is worth %$#^.
But I STILL have the car!!! Lucky because my house is paid off and my investments actually MADE money over this time. Plus I am STILL collecting unemployment and I am NOT ashamed one bit. This stupid government and private sector caused this mess and I am taking what is mine.
BTW I have 12 payments remaining and my MB dealer told me about a "pull forward" program that could get me out of the lease early (say 6 months) as long as I get another Benz. I wanted another E-class (350 4-Matic), but given the job situation (I am 52 and in IT .. so I may never get another job) I may opt for the C300 4-Matic.
I am NOT looking to terminate this lease by the way.

The "pull forward" program (officially called the Loyalty Accelerator Program) means if you're coming out of an E Class, MB will give you 5 payment credits and waive the disposition fee if you go into a 2009-2011 vehicle.
Good luck, hope it all works out for you.
LOL, at somebody collecting unemployment and driving an E63. Nothing personal towards you at all; it just sounds so cliche.
But seriously, hope things go well for you.

Thats great ,
sucks man about the job.
Consider yourself lucky to have been able to sttave off much of the terrible pain that comes with unemployment.
Nothing at all wrong with the C300.

Bad attitude. OK I agree. But I have paid my taxes .. a lot of taxes for over 30 years. So I want something back, and if unemployment is it .. so be it. I feel strongly about the fact that this government and the private sector caused this mess. It is not the fault of the foreign worker.
Anyway getting back to cars. Unemployment is nice, but without it I could still manage. I have substantial investment income. An AMG would be stretching it, but a C300 would be fine. I did save for the so called "rainy" day. And the rainy days are here.

Goodbye to AMG .. Ride was really good.
The "bad attitude" guy is back .. LOL. Actually 2010 has been a good year for me. While I now call myself semi-retired, I still have my E63 and will keep it until lease termination. Finances have been great even when not working. So I really count my blessings. Now that is a good attitude LOL.
I have 49K miles on it so I am a little over on the miles. I have 4 payments left and was due to get out of the lease early through pull forward, but since I use US Bank and not MB Financial, the deal I had on a new E350 fell through on the day before I was to get it.
No problem. I really wanted a V8 instead. Well after the E63 do you blame me. While the AMG has been good to me, I have no desire for another one. So it is goodbye to AMG for me. At least I was privileged to drive one, and I am thankful for that.
My earlier post stated that I was going for a C300. That change would be too drastic. Even when I test drove the 2011 E350, I felt it was underpowered. Maybe things happen for a reason, so the fact that the deal for the E350 fell through had the V8 demons surface in me, so I test drove the 2011 E550. It was simply awesome. It rode better than my current E63.
So I will be buying, not leasing, an E550 in the spring.

Why don't you keep the E63? They are dirt cheap now. You can probably keep your car for much less than a brand new E550 or even E350. Plus, it's a car that you know the history of and it's a car with much more power and refinement. Just a thought....

That was my choice when I got my car: New E350, or a used E55. I haven't regretted it once.

I really like the W212. And driving the E550 was such a nice experience in that car. It was much better than my E63. The E350 experience was just too light and the lack of the airmatic was noticeable.
My lease buy out is $39987. Add NYC sales tax and an extended warranty and we are pushing $50K for a car that is 4 years old with 50,000 miles in an outdated model (W211). So to put that much into this is not worth it. I have had the AMG experience and it is now time for me to move on. I am getting a decent deal on the 2011 E550 Sport with 4Matic/ P2/ Pano / Parktronic at over 10% off MSRP. I do not want to lease.

The 550 is a very nice car. Not magical like an AMG car, but still quite a machine. The new w212 front end is marvelous looking, although the rear strikes me ad resembling an Accord.
It sounds like you got a good deal. Enjoy!
