CLS63 instrument cluster in E55
Yesterday I installed a new (US spec) CLS63 instrument cluster into a 2005 E55...the only reasons to do so, were/are because of the fonds that are nicer then the original ones and the extra screens with engine oil temperature, battery voltage and laptimer.
Anyways - the cluster was new which made locking it into the EIS easy and the endresult is a new IC with old mileage and improved looks.
As we have a couple more of these new ICs in stock, we will be offering these clusters for the 209 CLK, 211 E-class and 219CLS (as long as stock lasts) for 750USD excluding installation/programming (for which the costs vary per model from 100USD to 200USD).

Wow, very nice!
I assume when you say W211, you mean all years? Is it possible to retain/retrofit the silver trim for install?
Of course, we've got to get you to Florida for it to really matter.

I love the new screens and think the gear display up at the top is awesome but much prefer the aluminum surround and the white dials. Hmmm, I wonder if it would be possible to take the new cluster and swap the dials and bezel with some not so minor surgery?!

I see that the AMG peeps don't check the non AMG section as I posted a similar post about a CLS63 IC in a 2003 E500 one day earlier in the 211 section...
anyways: the CLS63 IC fits and works in any W211 BUT there is offcourse the difference in the RPM gauge (which doesn't really affect the car other then that you might not be able to reach redline anymore in cars that don't do that many rpm's (diesels for example)...ruining 2 clusters by trying to change th eblack dials into white dials is something you should NOT attempt...it would be easier to connect the CLS mainboard (4 connectors) to the E55 cluster and get it programmed (as it will function of the mainboard and that is new and unprogrammed).
The CLS cluster housing itself is black and doesn't fit the 211 (or 209) so in order to fit these CLS clusters in the 211 one will have to re-use the existing IC housing from the 211 cluster (either with aluminum or black faceplate).

W124/W202-C230 & W202-C36/W210/W211 - All Modified by MBenzNL
Yes, it possible to have the same Silver trim which makes the cluster 2-Tone.
Please look at the picture on the link below or go to W211 section.

that looks pretty good.
i wouldnt mind getting that done, especially if the shift light works!
please try it out and let us know!
MBenzNL are u coming to the vancouver, BC area anytime soon?
would u happen to have some sort of list of other options i could add to a CLS55?
(power folding mirrors, rear heated seats)

i think that the center screen in your instrument cluster will flash and tell you to shift. (something like that)
im assuming u have to select the right screen to do so.
maybe a 63 guy can chime in.

I never look at it directly.....but see it out of the corner of my eye. It's really only usefull on the 63 in 1st and 2nd gear as they wind up really fast.

With the 10 degree weather in NY right now 1st and 2nd gear just spin, along with alot of 3rd gear. I really try not to use up the rubber in this weather the stock tires really do now work well in this cold.
