Just a little update for those of you following my thread. Well last night I finally finished the project and took it out for a test spin. Not sure if that fact I reset my ecu or if it was the headers themselves but WOW!!!!! It seems to breath easier now and have a quicker response. Currently I am running without an ECU tune so I expect to see a lot more when I get one. I would definitely recommend getting some headers. I hope to get some dyno numbers very soon. If anyone has any questions about the DTI feel free to ask.

Wait, you are running a 178mm pulley, headers and no tune? Do you have a TB? The only person i remember having a solid modded car without a tune was Jrocket, but had the 80mmTB, which may have avoided the TQ limiting issue by dropping pressure. I'm still curious about that.

You are correct sir no tune, but a big difference vs. stock. TB and tune will be next, may just get the tune now instead of waiting.

Sorry about all the mixups guys.. We have orders coming from a few different sources so when Vadim collected everything down at his end, he shipped them based on first-in-first-out.

We are going through a bit of a growing pain right now and doing our best to keep up with demand on the products and turn things around in a timely manner.

We apologize to those of you still waiting for the headers.. there is another batch of 10 arriving this coming week and will be able to fullfill all the remaining orders.

Thanks again for all the support and your patience!!

Very nice. I am going to open mine up too and see if I can make it need more fuel.

Do pre and post dynos!! Mine felt great with the big pulley, just got real flat up top.

Thanks to kompressed55, BrianS, and blueknight for pics and write-up for the header install. Yesterday I was able to install my VRP shorty headers. All in all it took 3 hrs to install with the help of another person and a lift.

Before hand I ordered new head studs and header nuts from the dealer...good thing I did as 13 of the 16 studs came out while loosening the nuts. I also picked up 4 new exhaust bolts and nuts as mine were rusted/seized and ended up breaking off. Mind you my car is an '05 with 42k miles on it. I suggest getting new header and exhaust nuts as they are pinch nuts which I think are only meant to be used once. I'm sure you can get away with using them again though.

Some notes on my install:
* You can reach all 4 bottom header nuts and the top header nut towards the back of the engine from under the car by removing both plastic under shields.
* You don't need to remove the coil packs and wires to reach the 3 top header nuts towards the front of the engine...you just need to remove the connection from the wires to the coil packs.
* With the VRP HEM, you don't need to remove the steering column as the VRP HEM clears it. You probably have to with the Evosport header.

Car definitely seems to breathe easier now as it pulls harder on the top end. Now I just have to install the 80mm TB to finish off the VRP 600 .

Thanks! Also, I in no way intended to make the evosport header look bad, I just saw in the other write-up by kompressed55 that he had to remove the steering column for his evosport header install.
