Could it be possible you have an IC pump failure? Supercharger shutting off? Those cars runs low 13s. You should pull bus lengths on him by 150.v

I have an SRT8 and my brother has an E55. When I was "relatively" stock (i.e., intake) my brother would absolutely destroy me. It wasn't really close. Now that I've got my heads/cam, it's a very close race -- I posted some video clips on another thread.
There are a lot of modified SRT's out there, so I doubt the one you raced was stock.

You will know if the ecu couts the s/c off because the car will completely fall on its face. Where the problem might be is if your pump is not working properly and your IAT's soar to 180F or 190F, but never reach the magic 200F to trigger s/c shutdown. Instead, the ecu starts pulling timing and dumping fuel... which equals a severe reduction in power, but not as bad as s/c shutdown.

Plus we have talked and talked about this.
Heat is the enemy of our cars more than most others. How hot outside?? How hard were you on it before the race??
All factors that decreased performance when you stomped it no matter how good the pump was working.
Sucks but it's the truth unfortunately. All the hp I have and I still feel the car running more doggy today with it being around 95.

Don't worry, who'd own a Dodge if they could have an E55?

Changing the pump is probably a good idea. But, watch out for the dealer's reaction when you take it in for service.
I put a Johnson pump in my car when I first got it just to be sure I was getting all the cooling I could get. First time I took it in for service I got a scolding from the SM and the threat of black flagging my car. The're a--holes but that's another story.

Your response should have been, "Who should be more pissed about my having to put parts from an outboard motor in my car to get it to run right, me or Mercedes?!?! When they source one that doesn't have a 90+% failure rate, let me know, jackass."

i've only run against one and I think he had very light mods at the time but it was pretty ugly...for him.......bus lengths......yes....bus lengths....so you might want to have your E checked.......
met him last week and he's done some mods so who knows...maybe he'll spank me this time but that first run was not even close

Your car is not runing right
a stock SRT8 has no chance vs you and if you race to 150mph you will pull way more then 1 car on him.
either he is lying about been stock
or your car has a problem
if your weather is anything like what we have here then, you will be in trouble if your pump is not working right. If our pump goes bad you will not get a warning light for it, only way is to test the pump to see if it is working correctly.
there is an 06 update to the pump get it
good luck
