Just ECU tuning.
How long will the motor last? Obviously other tuners have been able to open up the V12 engines but they choose not to due to the fact that motor replacement is quite pricey.

There is a law of diminshing returns right??

And thats on the 6 cylinder 350 motor. SO like get back to the drawing board dude.

Had the car, the engine is great but the car leaves one yearning for more involvement. Of course mine was the Love Boat of all 65s: the CL

Yea I've driven a CL before, I know what you mean. My CLK is a fun little car but makes nowhere near that much power!

Andy, congradulations on these truely AMAZING numbers
I mean really, these are just plain INSANE

I do have one question, relaibility? I have seen STOCK S600's, and have read about S65's shearing ring and pinions on drag radials. Please tell me you have a new diff for sale, and you might as well throw in a new tranny while you are at it.

Again, truely AMAZING

See yeah

No, they can't open them up even close to as far as we can, as our results just proved. We're talking about a 350rwtq gain over the highest number we've seen to date.

The customer told us to make as much safe power as we could, so that's what we delivered without even tapping the TCU. Nothing lasts forever at 1000hp or tq, I think everyone realizes that. Will the trans go in his car at some point, sure, just like the trans would go in a stocker at some point.

The bottom line is that we can detune you and still smoke everyone else, which is exactly what these results prove.

Thanks! Dave is truly amazing at what he does and we are nothing but proud to have him as our head tuner.

His engine will be fine, if he stomps on it from every stoplight I'm sure the trans will eventually wear down, but again, we simply delivered what the customer wanted. As an educated consumer he realized that the stock trans wouldn't last forever at that power level, but he didn't care.

If you're looking for a built tranny the absolute best on the market (and it can handle these numbers) comes from Paramount Performance. Bill and Eddie have done their homework, R&D, and completely redesigned the WA5As.

Quote: my car also puts down lower numbers in 3rd compared to 4th which is 1:1 as I believe most 55's do. I didn't want to start another 5 pages of fluff so I left it alone, but since you brought it up...

That's what I thought. Glad I am not nuts.

Wow...670rwhp and 1,100rwtq???? I would have thought that the K24's would have run out of steam about 40hp sooner....given that they are medium sized turbos... hey look if you can back that up...it would be pretty amazing. Was this on a dynojet? If so...can you send me the drf file so I can view it in WINPEP?

Tom,
As soon as I get the graph I'll post it. The owner tested at a non affiliated shop which is why we're still waiting on them. He's not a racer, he just wants to drive it on the street lol.
If they send the winpep file I'll be glad to fwd it to you.

BTW, it's 690rwhp, I mistyped it initially, sorry.

Thanks
Andy

Amazing results Andy!! Nice talking w/you today, I have a 5yr/100k warranty so I'd be more than satisfied if you tuned my SL600 down to say 800-850 RWTO & around 550-600 RWHP

I can't wait to see the graph If something blows up I could always take the ECU out & ship it to you for re-flash to stock for dealer repair

Nice speaking with you as well Sean. We can hit your goals NP all day long.

The best part is, we left 100rwtq+ on the table on the '09 S65 (I'm not sure anyone else can even tune a '09 yet?).

Yes. DI does amazing things to turbo motors since you can run higher static compression (less lag and higher tq overall) due to the cooling effect and better fuel atomization. Combined with the extra exhaust valve (turbo's love 4Vs) which speeds exhaust gas velocity (quicker spool) and helps increase the overall mass of air moving through the motor.
Too bad they didn't choose the 6.2, but the 5.5 will still make insane power.

Ford's TT DI 5.0L/4V is making 500hp/700tq with ethanol injection. You won't see it until 2013 or 2015.

The owner isn't a racer nor does he post on the net. I doubt there will be any vids (it's 100% stock wheels/tires and all) but I'll get the graph up asap.
I'm sure Marko will post vids of his CL65, which will make more power and tq than this car.

You've had a rough road up to this part to say the least.

I would make it a point to post those dyno numbers ASAP Andy.

If what you are saying is true, we really would be entering a whole new era of tuning.

I just keep sitting here staring at the screen. Over a thou Trq TO THE WHEELS??

I am just gonna keep checking for those dynos sheets. You want respect......those dynos are legit...you've got it from me.

From one businessman to another, you'll officially have people on board (not all of course) , but you gotta post those charts brotha.

1100tq, the 5-speeds can only take up to 800tq no?

690hp at the wheels..........wow I wanna see what it does in the 1/4...
