the point is, you lost, the Gallardo isn't trapping 120, and neither are you....
and from a dig? I'm sure you would "instantly" take a Gallardo by two car lengths from a dig like you said..... You would have ZERO chance if the Gallardo really ran you like it could, nice video here:

please, please tell everyone that you would have beat him by 2 car lengths from a real dig.....

I'll be interested to see what it does to a E63 or CLS63. I suspect that the C63 benefits more since it's detuned from the factory and weighs 243lbs less. The C is rated at 461hp & the E at 516, do you really think there is the same percentage of tuning improvement left on an E or is AMG making different versions of the 6.2?

Of course I agree. Rock's absolute best was 124.6 and you haven't gotten the best out of your car yet. I focus more on trap speed as an indicator of power and performance than anything else. That being said, a car that traps 120+ is going to pull away from a car that traps 116.XX. The fact that it didn't happen during your race with Rock doesn't signify anything meaningful in my opinion. How many times have you raced side by side with identical cars and yielded completely different results? Who got the jump, what gear were you in, whose car was a hotter, who spun more..???...way too many variables. 116.XX is a great MPH for a 63 motor with little to no miles on it.

Albert and guys,
I went to Dragway 42 tonight (about one hour away from Norwalk Raceway). I wanted to see what my car would run since I resolved my CEL issues and installed the VRUS airbox/intake tubes. I was also a little confused as to why I could not pull on Andy.
I was not impressed with my track results. I ran a 12.1 @ 119.67 (similar traps on two runs). Temps were low 60's. I have not trapped this slow since my initial K2 install. Is it possible the airbox could be slowing me down? I know of another 55 member that showed less hp with the airbox installed.
Draw your own conclusions with the new info but there is no need to point out the obvious.........like my lack of driving skills.

No, DR...... trying to make me feel bad Jason?...........Too late.
The only thing I can tell you is that I know of another member that had significantly lower dyno numbers with the airbox installed.....go figure. Something is up with my car. I'm going to pull the airbox and give it another try.

Hey Rock...last time (before latest engine mods) I had the K2 w/ VRP airbox and my best time was:
60' - 1.876
1/8 - 7.829 trap @ 93.19
1/4 - 12.038 trap @ 116.98
NOTE: My launches were average and I tended to lay off throttle at the end...newbie move...so I think I would definitely have had sub 12s at a little higher trap given more practice.
The #'s above seem comparable to what you got in this latest run...

No DRs? I'll leave it to you to decide if you gave your car the best chance? Out here DRs make 3/10ths difference. I dunno if that is track, car, or whatever but it does make a huge difference in the 60 foots.

Jangy, Are you considering attending the MIR event? I think we own the fans a race to settle our dispute of a month ago. I'm even up for racing for ****s and giggles. What do you think? I'm being sincere and not trying to be a wise azz.

LOL... reading through this thread cracks me up.
Seems some guys don't realize the difference between NA curves and FI curves... and or the vehicles and their weights at a track.
