Update: MHP ECU/TCU Tuning (Throttle Blipping, etc, DONE!)

Honestly, I cannot say anything about diffs/halfshafts since I haven't broken one yet and there are so many different models. On a stock longblock application we're not worried about hurting the trans, though there have been instances of a 7A failing when placed behind a 3.5L V6 as well as a 550. That just goes to show that no matter what you do flawed parts can sometimes find their way into a new car, even expensive ones. Again we're not concerned with the trans/converter because of the union of the ECU/TCU working together--not against each other.
We are by no means pushing the limits of either the motor or the trans with stage I tuning, and if we're talking about a stock longblock N/A application yes, we'll stand behind the tuning. Now, if you're talking about 1000rwhp from a sprayed TT V12, via stage II tuning, you're on your own Though we have some absolutely killer trannys from Paramount Performance that we can swap in if something bad does happen.
Finally there is always the option to purchase a spare ECU/TCU to keep stock in order to swap in for warranty related dealer visits. I sell them to my customers at my cost.
Thanks
Andy

How much torque can the V12 tranny handle before it granades?

Unf'believable another thread taken over by the Jrcart/Jangy scenario, get over it.
To the OP/sponsor, I apologize but I have to close this thread. Please start another one with the pertinent info at your convenience. If any posters feel to go off topic on that one, I wont close but I will give a temp ban at the minimum.
Jangy/Jim (without assigning blame), I don't know when its gonna stop but for the sake of all other members, make it today.

Members, I have deleted most if not all of the posts that had nothing to do with this thread. If I missed any then I apologize. I want the last 20 minutes back of my life too.
As for opening the thread back up, its the right thing to do to allow the discussion to continue and to allow the sponsor to show his products and answer questions.
You can question the pricing and the products true ability but keep the personal and sidebar attacks out of this thread and out of this site.

Andy....i cant wait for wednesday....
can you just give us what you estimate a bone stock E55 will do with just ECU/TCU....and pulley/TB/headers + tcu/ecu???
that doesnt devulge any "secret" info. I just want to hear a conservative estimate.
pretty please....

Put it this way, if my C63 with just tuning, filters, DRs doesn't run 11s at 120 (or close to it) I'll be very disappointed.
Thanks

Well, it was less than yours and I love my shift points and TQ limiter was removed. No offense to you and I wish any new vendor luck, but it only took them a short time to do it and they have 20 years experience doing it, and it was cheaper. Renntech is already doing this guys! Oh, and they did it all in house! LOL I think the cost is the issue here?

When are you going to the drag strip and when will you have some concrete dyno numbers for us ?

That'd be about a full second and 4mph faster than any 1/4 mile times I've seen. I'd say that equates to about 100hp increase,no ? Does that mean you can take the 507 hp version of the 63 motor to over 600hp with JUST the tuning ?

Basically what it means is that we're going to make the most of the power that the tuning unleashed thanks to the combo of complete driveline tuning not holding the motor back. Don't get me wrong, our preliminary dyno results are already higher than any other tuned C63 (with like mods) that I've seen to date.
I'm still shooting to hit the strip tomorrow (and meet up with Rock so he can post his feelings on the drivability of our tuning on my C63) and will hit the dyno with final cal. results Thurs/Fri at latest.
Thanks
Andy

Yeah I dont see RT offering up anything for the 7g tranny. I think her (Benzgal's post) is her individual experience only unless someone else can chime in?

Check that, I want to get as many passes in as possible so I may hit the track on Friday (T&T) instead of Wed (Brackets), and do the dynoing first.
I'm up in MI today and will figure out the gameplan by tonight/tomorrow morning at latest.
Thanks

I'll try to get that done on the same day I dyno. I'm also trying to set up a race vs my friends Gallardo (tuned/headers), and Audi R8 and get it on video. So much to do, so little time.

Andy, I'm still planning on Wednesday. Let's make it happen. Even one or two runs will give you a good idea of what kind of power you're making. If you can trap @ 120mph no one will give you any grief if your et is only 12.4. Also, a highway run next to me will give you a good indication of what your TCU does for the 7 speed at higher MPH.
I have to go to Columbus on Friday, so Norwalk is out.
Finally, I think the board wants to see some numbers ASAP.

SO glad that Rock will give us first feedback on this.
Rock will give it to us straight (not that you wouldn't...just that Rocks an OG like some of us others)
Can't wait to hear the results.

Dave,
My biggest worry for the initial track outing is relearning the launch. I have 3 new variables: ECU, TCU, and DRs. I'd like to go Friday just because I know I'll get more than 3 runs in and I'll have more time to cooldown from the 2hr+ drive to Norwalk. Wednesday night's program typically consists of making 2-3 passes before 7:00pm for a dial in then switching over to brackets v Fri which is full test and tune all night.
If you're coming down Fri/Sat (to Cbus) then we can meet up down here (I'm driving back home immediately after leaving the track Fri) either late Friday or pretty much anytime Sat. Let me know.
I'll hit the dyno first so there will be some numbers to show (though I and I'm sure most want to see track results asap) before hand.
Thanks
Andy
