I haven't been hear long but it's obvious this site has its favorites. I can't even begin to believe moderators would let something like that go. Oh well, what could you do.

He might be young, and immature but only god knows. He thinks he has the most bad *** CLK BS out on the planet and yadda yadda yadda. Hell if I decided to dump a million bucks into my SL63 as well, it would eat his CLK 63 BS for lunch, but I won't. He needs to get over himself and his car.

I am deadly in a drunken footrace...who wants some?

I, for one, can't wait to see what Andy has to offer. If for anything else, to see how much power the TCU is holding us back from.

JrCart, look bro your car is cool but even I think you may have went alittle too far. I know your from Chi town and spend some time at MODA & Spybar but where do you get off bringing someone's wife into the forum. That **** aint cool! If you have an issue with Jangy and it's car/performance related then the two of you need to settle it on the track! If it's not going to happen then you need to keep his name out of your mouth and the same goes for Jangy.

The Hammer has spoken!

I already pulled the trigger ecu/tcu and thermalnators. Sent it overnight today.

Guys just one convo with the guy will erase all doubts. There is no way you can fake this kind of knowledge it is quite apparent he knows his S---.
Plus he's easy to talk to and more than accommodating to all the requests and concerns I had. Bottom line was if I dont like it - he'll fix it till i do. Nuff said.

No not really. Personal attack about family are off limits. This is like the Palin and her daughter pregnancy. What even gave jrcart the idea of going afte jangy's family.

I'll give credit where it's due and I'm pretty sure he has the most heavily modified CLK63 BS out there.

No one is denying that man. But his arrogance and behavior surrounding his car and himself are what the real culprit is here. He needs to get over his CLK BS being so "bad ***" since I am sure there is another CLK BS that will be better than his somewhere else on this planet.

I know I've been called Jr's "cheerleader" (good one) but in all honesty this does stem from a post today where Jangy brought up Jims's name for no reason in relation to a post directed at me. He said something to the effect of "JR has already shown his true colors" - In all honesty this was put to bed a few days ago and JR did everything but send two roundtrip tickets with hotel, dinner, and show accommodations to Jangy to try and get this to happen. So when Jangy today said about Jims true colors its kinda odd considering its him that clearly backed out.
Jangy I'm not trying to start with you again so leave me out of it - but I'm the one with the barbells and roid rage remember (ex bodybuilder etc) not Jim.
And I have to admit I'd probably react the same way you did. That was a rough one. But you did instigate a dead issue again today. And this is all totally off topic and ruining the thread. So lets try and get along and concentrate on ECU/TCU tuning / Andy Bashing (jus kidding Andy )

Andy - you stated earlier that "The stock tunes aren't just protective, they're blatantly overprotective."

Can you put a number on this for us ?? Exactly how overprotective is the stock tune ?? Lets assume a percentage based on the stock tunings reliability factor. Clearly, MB doesn't want people blowing up motors and transmissions. So, would you say that off the showroom floor the reliability factor for the 63 motor and 7G-trans is 98% ??
Nothing is ever 100% reliable, but I think it's pretty clear that the guys at AMG know what they're doing. Sure, there is more to squeeze out of the stock setup.....but just how hard are you guys squeezing with Stage I ECU/TCU tuning ? Are you taking the reliability factor down to 80%, 70%, 50% ??? Have you tested the 7G tranny to the breaking point ?? What about the differential and axles ??
I'm just trying to get an idea of how much added stress your tuning will put on the stock components. Lastly, what kind of warranty on said components will MHP offer ? If you tune my Black Series and I rip the transmission apart; will you replace it free of charge ? I realize there are quite a few questions above, but I'm sure many other members here would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I can yap on the internet with the best of them, but there are limits to where it goes. Trust me, if he and I meet it won't be the love fest everyone predicts.
A person can say ANYTHING about someone else. If there is material hurt then it is slander and you can get a lawyer.

But you let yourself act as you have indicated, it is murder 1 and you are toast. I can not imagine your wife would have you "protect her honor" in this way since I would assume she is infinitely more concerned about your opinion of her and that you are with her rather than in jail.

Honestly I find it absolutely amazing you are not banned at this point and these posts have not been erased for your own good.

Honestly, I cannot say anything about diffs/halfshafts since I haven't broken one yet and there are so many different models. On a stock longblock application we're not worried about hurting the trans, though there have been instances of a 7A failing when placed behind a 3.5L V6 as well as a 550. That just goes to show that no matter what you do flawed parts can sometimes find their way into a new car, even expensive ones. Again we're not concerned with the trans/converter because of the union of the ECU/TCU working together--not against each other.
We are by no means pushing the limits of either the motor or the trans with stage I tuning, and if we're talking about a stock longblock N/A application yes, we'll stand behind the tuning. Now, if you're talking about 1000rwhp from a sprayed TT V12, via stage II tuning, you're on your own Though we have some absolutely killer trannys from Paramount Performance that we can swap in if something bad does happen.
Finally there is always the option to purchase a spare ECU/TCU to keep stock in order to swap in for warranty related dealer visits. I sell them to my customers at my cost.

Thanks
Andy

I get your point. I don't need protection so no worries. Now, how does all this play out if his mouth continues to run and we end up at the same place? Then what is it?

Quote: Dude - WHO GIVES A ***** ???? He dropped his car off at Evo and gave thm a blank check. Had he done it all himself, then it'd be something to brag about. Paying someone to do something for you is easy when you have the means. I have a private jet...you don't see me bashing people and their families and flaunting my bank accnt. If I wanted a 1200hp Black Series, guess what....I'd have it. The sense of entitlement around here due to what people own is WEAK.
If its not too much trouble, a few of us fellas from downunder could do with a ride in your private plane to MIR. We would happily make our own way to the airport - dont send a chauffer. And we play nice, too. Please. Pretty Please!!!
