Update: MHP ECU/TCU Tuning (Throttle Blipping, etc, DONE!)
Can you help explain how the TCU makes power? I assume you are talking about the potential that is not tapped due to TQ management, but want to clarify. Next thing is how does the TCU limit? Does it tell the ECU to retard timing or close the TB some? I have only recently seen an ECU mod that keeps the throttle wide open all the way to the shift points and it really helped top end.
Would you expect the TCU gains to be more top end or dig?

Yes there is at least as much if not more tq management in the tcu than there is in a ecu. I can't post any more info than that at this time as again I'm not here to educate the competition.
TCU gains will really shine on the street and at the track.

Ur right I obviously know nothing about the topics I'm bringing up.(FIKSE) Thats why the last two cars I've owned have been in 6 magazines have a room full of trophies from Hot Import Nights around the country and are on at least 4 websites wheel sections.
How many of your projects have been in magazines??? Would that be zero?? - okay thats what i thought - Listen J O before you start shooting ur mouth off know ur audience. Check w Simon on any info I've just said - Two issues of Mod. Lux and Exotics, European Car, Rides, Plush, Car Audio as well as one of TW Competitions top cars in "06 season. I know nothing ab modding cars mmm hmmm.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
What if I could not only net you 900lb/ft of torque with just tuning but not smoke your tranny in the process (again the magic is in the mating of the two driveline controllers so they work together), would you still conisder the price to be high?

Andy,
I don't know much about the inner workings of our transmissions but I'm wondering about the Comfort and Sport mode. I know I have read on these forums that the comfort mode shifts slower, although I'm not sure this is true.
Is it possible with your TCU modifications to keep the comfort mode as it is and to have the sport mode modified?
Ultimately I'd LOVE for nothing more than to have a track/dyno shootout with a similarly modded Renntech/Brabus, whatever equipped ride. Hopefully we can make it happen in the near future, maybe at MIR on 11/15?

Sorry but removing some tq management and bumping shift points (how much did they even change yours) is not complete driveline much less TCU tuning.
All our tuning is done "in house" as well.
Thanks

It's always nice to see someone try something new. Best of luck to you.
What bugs me the most is that these kinds of arguments will ruin a good topic. Hope you guys work it out and stop bringing all that personal hate to the discussion board.
