Gotttta Love the LAPD... I was driving on wilsure and stopped at a redlight, to the left of me was Mr. police officer...So I had my STOCK radio turned up... Light turns green, the cop comes behind me and pulls me over. Naturally Im trying to figure out what kinda of BS hes going to say. So I give him my licence, registration, insurance...and he goes Im ticketing you for amplified music , are you kidding me? .... So he goes off to his car, comes back (at this moment I knew he was a fu*kin lowlife) He asks me why Im not wearing my seeing glasses , I said I dont need them, then he goes your not wearing contacts, im like no Sir, I did the lasik EYE surgery, then he goes back to his car, and comes back, why isnt your new addres on your drivers licence, im like it is sir, check your computer, so he leaves....finally hes back with my ticket... he gave me a ticket for amplified music and Check marked not correctable, he also gave me a ticket for being able to hear my music from 50+ft and marked correctable....Im like are you kidding sir, this ****ty MBZ sound system cant be heard from 10ft away, on top of that your car was 5ft from mine when you heard it...he laughs and goes sign the ticket ... I sign it, turn up my music as loud as possible , and drive away......

WTF? has anybody every gotten this ticket? What did you do about it? how do you go about this ticket, and is there any way around it? How much is a ticket like this? .... any help will be apreciated...thanks guys

I thought getting a no front plate ticket was a crock, this is even more retarded! Didn't he write the amount on the ticket? Anyhow, just go into the county clerks office and see if you can get it taken care of and removed. Just explain the situation and I'm sure they'll throw out the ticket.

Cops usually won't give tickets for this unless the music you've got turned up really sucks. What "artist" were you listening to?

were you full blast with the windows down? cuz even though our systems are less than adequate, i still turn it down when rollin up next to a cowboy to not give them a reason to F'with me (cowboy + hiphop = bad news)

My take is Five-0 just wasn't feelin the hip-hop bro...shame on him and truly weak sauce for him to pull you over (unless you were blarinwith your windows down)

How do people look in any kind of car you can imagine "cranking thier tunes"? Usually not too good.

Take the ticket as a piece of advice; don't do it again for reasons of public violation and simple self respect.

My friend, here in crime-less hinsdale land, got a ticket in his lexus for going 4 over in a 30.... wtf seriously

When he took it to court the judge just threw out the ticket and told the officer he was a disgrace to the police force..... serves him right...

Sometimes the cops need to be reminded that they are here to protect the peace, not start war...

To be honest with you...whenever I'm at a stop light I just turn the music down just to be on the safe side even when my windows are up. I NEVER drive around with my windows down while playing any music...been busted for that already back in the 90's...no thanks. That being said...the cop sounded like a total tool!

Look check this out. Take the ticket to court you will win. I have gotten three of these tickets in my other car that has a custom stereo in it. Even if you loose the ticket is like 120 for first violation argue this way. Anytime you get a speeding ticket is because a coper tags you with a gun so that counts as proof in the court. Now when he is issueing you a citation for a noise violation then that is because he can hear your music at a certain db from X amount of feet away look up the penal code it will clear things up. Bottom line is he need to be able to prove that your music was being heart from 50 feet away and technically I don't think that by him being next to you counts as 50 feet away. Good luck

What can I say, some cops are dicks. I'm a peace officer and I got a tint ticket from some POS CHP. Yeah, he didn't care I worked with his colleagues on a sting operation the week before either. I hope I never have to get backed up by that *******.

idk about the laws in your area, but in texas they have to have a decibel meeter on them and test it infront of your face to make it a real ticket, if this is the case, then take it to court, also, cops have a recorder on them that records all of the convo. between you and him, so if he really did laugh, you can take it to court and possibly show he only gave you the ticket because he is a dic*. i no thats how i got out of mine. i have a custom alpine thing goin on and it pounds, so i deal with it alot, but most cops here r cool about systems. one guy pulled me over just to c it haha. well good luck

the reason I didnt have my window up was because I didnt want to get a tinted window ticket... I saw the cop next to me and oviously I didnt think my music was loud enough to the point where I might get in trouble...If I get a letter in the mail for 50-100$ im just going to pay it...but if its some crazy amount, im going to fight it...

the thing is I drove by the cop a few blocks down, and he claims he heard me coming by my music...can that be his claim or his PROOF of the 50+ft?

120 dollar ticket. I got it a week after I got my license. I was bumping sweet dreams by marilyn Manson during the day in a residential. I hope that cops family watches him die when going to court for another music ticket from some lunatic who doesn't want to pay. Useless c***
