Noises are freaking me out... Please help!!!!

For a few days now I've been hearing noises from the front of my car. They only happen when I go over speed bumps or up driveways. The best way I can describe the sound is that it sounds like the suspension is bumping up and it has no lube. But then again I have no idea what I'm talking about. Please let me know if thats possible or if you think it's something else.

Thanks

That used to happen in my C32 - it was the sway bar bushings needed lubricating.

Just replace them. Once they loosen up enough to make clunking noises, it's just time for new ones.

How much do sway bar bushings normally cost? Why not just lube them up? Thanks for the input!

i hear a slight thud from the rear when i go over a speed bump. I put the car up on the lift but couldnt spot any torn mounts or bushings.

Because bushings are rubber, and they dry out and crack to the point where they can no longer exert the pressure they are supposed to keep on the suspension component they are attached to. The clunking comes from your suspension having too much play in it, as the metal components (control arms, sway bars, etc.) start to move around and the system gets a lot of play in it, since the dried/cracked bushings can no longer hold everything steady. Lubing things won't help, you just have to replace the bushings.
