for your CLK55, we need the 10 bolt for your vehicle. We will have those ready hopefully within the week.

As for what you need for the install.

you can transfer over the bearings, but I would suggest using new ones.

sometimes you'll need shim's if the backlash is off

you will need diff fluid, MB sealent to reseal, and side seals.

Not really, it will help with traction so if you are spinning off the launch then it will help there. Install is alot, unless you plan on doing it yourself

Can you verify that these are the original quaiffes and not the newly "copied" versions. I assume you bought a bunch up before Autotech gave up?

Approximately how long is the install?

What are these "newly copied versions"?

These diffs have been ordered from quaife.co.uk quaife part number QDF9V

Also the install is roughly 12 hours.

Oh OK. I assumed you had bought up some supply that was left in the States from when they still had a distributor here. I guess copy is not the exact wording. Just a new competitor in the market offering something that I have no issues with. If your rear inside wheel isn't lifting in the turns (ala VWs), then there is no issue with the Quaife.

Damn, 12 hours. Well, it is my next mod and I already have a noisy diff so I may be interested sooner than later.

Same price for 10 bolts??

Assuming 12hr of labor How much do you think a differential shop will charge for labor?

thanks

It seems like this is a really good price. If you PLAN on getting more power mods maybe you should just get this while its cheap.

Do you have one that fits a CLK 63 Black Series? It's just a matter of time before I chew up my stock one. Let me know, I will order it this morning.

Can you briefly sum up the benefits of what you are offering? Also, do you know any qualified installers in the northeast (preferably in upstate NY)?

Thanks.

I just had mine installed in New York. I am sure that if you buy it from James they will still gladly install it for you. They did a great job on mine, they had all the parts from Mercedes just in case anything needed to be replaced and they did a very clean job. You can PM me if you would like there info.

tracshun,

I have a customer who is also in NY that will be taking the LSD to his tech I will his information for you.

also cpais here had his install done by RPM north, which I have also heard good things about. Auto addiction is another shop that I have heard good things about in the NY area.

a quick search lead me to a e55 owner who had the quaife LSD installed
