I raced a regular vette and I hate racing since I didn't install my IC pump yet and still waiting on a H/E but anyway I gave it a go and he said his vette was heavily modded. He said that he beats the Z06. I'm guessing he was having traction issues or sumthing becaue we did a rolling and these were the results....

Yeah it was but thats because we were in staten island on Hylan Blvd. The road is horrible and its cop infested. We had a cop side by side with us the entire way and once they turned we just went at it. We exchanged #'s so he wants to give it another go. When he said he beats Z06's i told him you should easily beat me but I'll give it another go.

Really, what does it mean to be heavily modified Corvette? You would think being a Chevy that would include manifold work, gearing, etc...

I wish I had enuff time to have asked him his exact mods. I asked him if hes stock since we were so close. He replied to me I beat Z06's but I'm having serious traction issues so thats all I know.

Please come to MIR. Jamie is bringing his C6 Z06. I dont want to rekindle a flame but properly driven, no current E55 off spray will beat this C6 Z06 driven by Jamie. Sorry, it just aint happenin.

I believe you. I've just never given any excuses. Many cars are tough to pull their full potential. That is an aspect of the car. The Vette (IMO) is such a sketchy platform that I'm not scared to run them. The numbers don't lie. The weight to HP shows an easy advantage to the Z.

I'm on the same boat, waiting for a HE unit. i've been made several promises by a certain manufacturer that the spearco units are in route...but nothing yet. Sitting and waiting...

Take it from a guy that own both cars (06 E55, 09 cyber gray Z06) no way a stock e55 will outgun a stock z06, especially from a roll given equal drivers.....nice kill though

Equal drvers is the operative phrase there and that's the point. Every guy that drives and E55 has a auto tranny and most guys that drive Vettes cant drive. All the more reason "from a roll "the AMG stands a better chance. But I agree they are very quick stock and really shine with a few mods on a road course where it'll eat an E55's lunch. And hey, the interior doesn't get messed up when you drop your cheeseburger on it !!!!
