Pics of Tinted Headlights, Fogs, and Side Mirrors...

I had the whole car hood venture shielded today...while they were at it...I had them limo tint the front door windows, tint the fog lights, and the tint the side mirror lights.

I already had the headlights and running lights tinted when they did the clear shielding on the fenders and front bumpers, but didn't do the fog lights but it turned out it look more consistent with the fog lights tinted...

In the sunlight, it looks pretty damn mean totally smoked.

The fronts are protective film...the tail lights (aren't pictured) are sprayed.

The front lights look great. How did you do it though. Did you just use the regular window tinting film on just put it on the outside of the lights. If so are you worried about it peeling

It is called lamin-x film...similar to 3M clear bra. It is specifically made for protection for the exterior against chips and sandblasting effects from road debris.

The only thing changed will be the clear portions of the rear taillights will get a light smoke which should be consistent with the rest of the Beast...

I got the rear spoiler from formymercedes.com and I had it refinished in carbon fiber water transfer finish.

I noticed all the chrome accent molding is covered in CF. Was that an overlay or some other process? Love the front headlights.

I'm not a big "mod your car" kinda guy, but I must say from the front you car looks cool !!

Not a fan of the star on the front grille, but still like it!

Doesn't the film on the headlights take away from the amount of light you get from your headlights at night?

Fantasm...I've loads of them for the E55 and some for SL55 on Ebay but I am not sure about the SL63. I got lucky on mine since they are thinner version that makes it not seem like an overlay. I've seen other ones that were thicker but just didn't fit well.

We thought of using an overlay but the fitment on such small pieces meant the tolerances were too tight. The C/F is a faux water transfer finish that works well on trim pieces. The look is very subtle but different from a totally murdered out car.

I like it myself but I ordered a new OEM grill which will be getting the black out/CF water transfer treatment so I'll be putting that on as a change of pace. The Beast eyes will also be positioned in the same general area. I don't mind your opinion...no harm done. Also, the front AMG emblem chrome trim ring and the illuminated side sills have been treated to the CF water transfer finish...I'll post pics when all the pieces are put back on the car.
