So we took out my stock mb radio and replaced it with a Pioneer navigation, installed component speakers in front and rear doors, did amp and sub. After the installation I got an SRS light that keeps coming right back after I clear it. The code says that there is no communication with the N112 Communication Module. Did any of you have this issue? How did you get around it?

No answers, just some info for ya.

Sounds like it is not seeing GPS factory unit anymore.

Wonder if it can be disabled in Star?

Great link to info on N112 here Just search for N112 through the document. N112 also relates to Teleaid. Wonder if there is something wrong there (line cut?)

When you find the answer, don't forget to post up to help guys in the future.

Take a look under the ashtray, the SRS Crash sensor is right there. Check all the wires and plugs that go to the crash sensor. Any work on the head unit / CD Magazine will disturbed the wires in this area, this is the first most likely place to find the problem. Be careful.

Regardless of whether the car had nav, it does have a GPS system that I think was integrated with the phone components of the factory head unit. Mine does not have nav either, but Mercedes could tell me exactly where the car was located via GPS. Beyond that, I have nothing that would help.
