VR550 Opinion/-Input

I plan on getting the VR550 package on my stock 2003 E55.
I would like to know your inputs on the performance of this package. I have read good things about it. Would the difference in power be noticeable.

The extra 60 HP will be noticeable. DO IT!

You might need to go after cooling mods though as that will definitely add some heat.

VR550 pkg will have significant gains that u'll notice right away...
once u do engine mods, cooling kit is a must...
my dyno runs were consistent after VRP split cooling system...

I am going to used to star system to lower the fan operation by 10 c.
For cooling mods would an upgraded heat exchanger and cmj ic pump be ok or are there any more mods out there

No, thats the intercooler pump. The heat exchanger is in the same location that a front mount intercooler would be. front and center.

I have the VRP550 package on my car and I have been extremely happy with it. I highly recommend it.

VRP 550 is $2400.00 and is a relatively good price. You can get an ASP Pulley and LET Tune for around $1600 for the same, if not better results.

The VRP Pulley is a much nicer looking and better built pulley than the ASP unit, but the ASP works just fine.

Either way, I recommend getting a pulley/tune. It really wakes the car up.
