Thank's Mo!

Jangy, is Passenger seat removal a contingent on Vadim's latest TUNE

Why couldn't Sal say this earlier when I asked? I'm sure he has other weight reduction if he's gone this far, now his 124 trap makes sense

Were both running VRP Pulleys? If so, which revision? If not, there you go. Did both have legit cooling? If not, again there you go. Did both have exhaust done? How old are their respective ecu files? If older than 3 months, do some datalogging and look for throttle position at the top end. I'd bet the slower trapping one isn't open 100% all the run....
Are both running w/passenger seat's & more than likely extra weight savings as in Sal's SLCare to Datalog that diference Que Ball

What number were you looking for? I don't even know Sal or the cat that ran at MIR. we all do crazy stuff at the track and you really think it adds up that easily? Just so we don't mess this thread up anymore, lets leave this for when you run. Go get spanked as you laways do and then come tell how the spanking compared to other ones that you have taken recently from both VRP tuned and email tunes. Then, we will all know the facts. This is as funny as the dude that removes his floor mats thinking it helps......

I was worried, he must be one hell of a car salesman because he had me sold that he was breaking out a serious weapon....And MachC5 was upset with his ECU only, otherwise bone stock 11.72???? What kind of tires was Rick running? Was he having traction issues down track with the spray? I could see that being the case because I was breaking the MT Street e/t's loose on a 70 shot. I'd like to hear details from Rick.

Records FALL hard

Funny Mo forgets to mention his 2007 E63 100% stock went 12.23@115.5, this was faster than my VRP 530 CLS and just a tick behind the worlds fastest CLS!!

Ok SALS CAR was brutally fast, it was dead hooking and I have a vid of the 11.3X pass, it was his first pass and best pass. SAL thanks 1 million for taking out my seat ,I was desperate, very desperate!

Rick and Lisa are the new Champions

All motor CLS pass
1.12.04@118.x
2.12.08@118.x

Rick now officially has the fastest CLS in the USA 11.75@123(Nos) 70 SHOT

Lisa is the new TEAM AMG modification as she out drove me and her father, my car was a bloated goat w/o the light rims Last feb I went 12.1@116.5 here, today 12.35@115 last pass. Car just could not make up for the 1/2 tank of fuel and stock rims...The seat removal helped LOL, oh my gawd

Joeseph and his M3 holy hell 12.1@115 amazing and the car looked like it could easily launch harder with a line lock ..

Chris , You really improved and your car just needs a tune and tire set and bam your likely hitting 12.1 as well, you wil master that car and it definately has an advantage transmission wise over the other six threes. 12.5@115 is dam impressive for such a heavy N/A car(stock) You are going on the 63 list soon as I get a chance.

To my Hemi brothers, WOW do you guys leave smooth and fast, 11.8-11.9 all day 115-118? Thanks so much for the tools and also the tips on the gearing and Bogarts..

Terry BTW was DRIVING A ONE THIRTY FIVE not a 335 and he flipping trapped 120 mph!!! LOL, I know he loved riding in my Maybach however.

Congrats to the BMW drivers who smashed the records today, Congrats to SAL, MO, Rick , Lisa , Hemi, and Stanko, Mr. Hemi , I am an idiot and now have spaced on yer name , egads.

So West Coast has some new record holders and I think Sal in his SL 55 may have gone to #1?(for SL 55's)?? Rick #1 CLS (Lisa)

Flipping rain, oh well it was such a fantastic day vids coming.

Rick is a whale of a sales guy, although I have to say he runs a very straight up ship. He just likes to play with the players. It will be a blast to watch he and Juicee comment....

Do you you know what an SL seat weighs? 75+lbs easy you know if he's gone this far other weight reduction was done, not pissy floor mats

Ok bro you win. Out of respect for Mo lets leave it here. Start a new thread and I'll jump in. Keep in mind that this is the argument. i say that a custom tune is better than the cookie cutter one you get mailed. PERIOD.
It can be VRP, Kleeman, Renntech, WHOEVER. ALL of their tunes are continually evolving so to think that there is a VRP tune is a bit naive to start with. Does it just bother you that the VRP tune for the 600 doesn't make your SL a 55k?

Rick was running a radial MT , his car hooked great but he was only spraying a 70 shot he trapped 123, but the bottom end was missing especially , the 60ft. We both averaged 1.9 with Rick hitting some 1.8x

The real story here is Your gonna be toast when Lisa has a little more seat time and rick gets the weight in his car down. I was dissapointed fior sure with my car, as it was running near stock times and traps. Rick was definately just at the tip of the iceberg with the NOS, he will be down in the 11.40's in no time

I have to agree with this last part. Lisa is a great driver. I wish she would've driven my car. I would've gone into the 11s

You never cease to surprise meI bought the 600 out of choice not because I secretly wanted the SL55 (there were tons of LESS expensive 2003-2004 SL55's available vs 05' SL600) the 600 is the torque monster vs SL55. w/RENN/Klee ECU/TCU the 600 turns in 123-125 low 11's as well..

No I wish Vadim/powerchip file was more powerful like RENNtech/Kleemann I'm waiting on LET's results if they can't make 700rwto like the big boys then Kleemann stg 2 it is...

Back to the event...Sorry Mo for going off topic

So do you think the set of lightweight wheels you previously had made the most diference?

Rick had so many ECUs at the track, it was hard keeping up which one he ran on which run He had a whole trailer full of ECUs with him: he had 5 different RennTech tunes + 3 Kleemann tunes + 2 MHP tunes + some secret stock tunes. I don't think the MHP took correctly, as it was a last minute thing, but I'm not 100% positive. Rick and Andy will likely chime in. Rick's car, by the way, still sounded great though.....

That's correct. We didn't have enough time to tune Rick's scrambled and encrypted ECU/TCU in time for the race. It appears the encryption and scrambling began within the last 2 months as all the cases we've run into like this were spares ordered for customers shipped straight from Germany recently.
Dave had over 30hrs into Rick's cal this week and should have it wrapped up by midweek next week.
Honestly I'm not sure who else can even flash the most updated ECUs.
Anyway, we'll have Rick ready for the Jan race NP.

Where are my manners? To Mo & Rick, thanks for putting such a great event together It was very nice to meet everyone.

Juicee, no problem on that seat removal. Let me know when you want me to put it back in your car Although I would have to agree that it looked like Terry was enjoying the drive in the maybach Seeing you guys pull up was priceless. Next time I will let you wear the solar powered dog tags.

I think i get it. You saying the blank ECUs that we can now buy are hard to tune? Good point. Who else tunes the 63 ECUs and have they shown gains?

So Rick didn't even feel the TCU? Grrrr, i am so waiting.

what tires? Ed saw the exact same gains (3/ths) using my HREs with DRs vs his 19" HREs and PS2s.

Today I used my stock fronts 19" 2 piece SL 65 rims and rears were 17" stock C class with semi slicks. I was running the Renntech 19Lb rims with the pilot sport cups(7 spoke champion) I essentially added back about 90 lbs of rotational weight, in a desperate attempt I yanked the 60 lb passenger seat trying to keep up with rick......did not help , maybe .05, lol. Im working on the vid , wish you could have come up.

I think Ed's 55 would have run some great numbers today
