Ok Guys the West is Next!! We gotta crack back into the fray.

East just added a bunch of benzo records including the top spots for the 63

Course the CLS 63 record still belongs to California (non nos)

We need a stage 5 E55 to do 11.40's or better
We need a 63 to go sub 12

we need some more Benzo's to come out and play for the day!!

Rick your not gonna like my latest mod, and URnext, UrDone, LOL

Okay, I'm game. This sounds like fun already. I gotta make sure I find some 18" with drag radials to run on. Any suggestions (wheels/tires)?

whats your budget?

You can try and find some oem take offs , usually a tire shop will sell em for cheap

mount up some BFG's , NITTOS, 555R . Tires can be costly but worth it. Im not sure what you are driving. Let me know and I will try and assist wheel and tire choice for Famoso.

Rick is silent, must be scared all his mods are now havingthe reverse effect on his car.. Hey Rick, hows the posi-traction?

Yikes.

18x9.5 295/35/18 BFG drag radial,

not alot of choices in an 18" rim

The best you can do is pick up a set of C class take offs and use a 9mm drill bit to bore out the bolt holes a little any rim shop can do this. The mount 26x11.5 Mickey thompson ET street.

The Kosei TS 1 is so light and amazing at 18x8 but your tires likely max out width wise at 255/35/18?

Rick will you loan me your wheels? LOL.

It's always better to get some baseline numbers first, and this event will definitely be a good place to start.

Hope to see you there........

Yes you're welcomed to join us.

Please NOTE: due to Famoso's pricing structure, spots will be LIMITED to 10 to 15 cars (I'm still waiting on a final confirmation on the exact number from Famoso's management team). Therefore, spots will be given to the first 10 to 15 people who send their payments in (unless somebody cancels of course). We need to collect the money by December 8th.

I posted on the M5board, but no one seemed to be interested

Common guys, lets do this....... this will be the greatest battle of the two FASTEST CLSs in the country !!!!!!

Jim, we need one of your promotional videos

Yes, the track rental is a private rental just for us. I tried to invite a few M5 members, but not a single one wanted to join. I even sent some PMs to a couple of members on 6speed who own lambos and porsches, but they were busy. I guess I picked a really bad date.

I went to Fomoso earlier this month. Saturday some car broke down, and they closed the track earlier. Then I went back Sunday, and they closed down due to rain! Almost 800 miles of driving that weekend, and no decent runs! My best on Saturday was a 12.47 which was with a horrible launch. It was hard to get a 2.0 sec 60' time with ET Street DRs. I don't know what the problem with their track prep was that day. These are the exact same tires I got a 12.13 et with a 1.72 60' time earlier this year at this track. I have been in search of some cooler weather and good DA conditions. I am even thinking of making the 800 mile trip to Sacramento next weekend.

So the question is this: Do you think you can persuade Fomoso to open the track earlier than 10am?? The had us wait from 7am till 10am before they will let you run. Meanwhile the temp goes up about 10 degrees and you lose about 1mph .10 second in your runs. Also, is there any way to ensure they have a good launch pad? VHT or something? I am serious, there were some Porsches running 120-130mph traps while barely running 13 second ETs!

It was fun though...I will try and upload a picture from earlier this month.
(I have the white 335i sedan, stock exhaust, air filter, etc)

It would be great to join your group if I don't end up going to Sacramento next weekend. Will it be around $200 per car? Anything under 60 cars, and you will literally be able to make tons of runs. 200 is what they consider a large number over there.

Hi Buddy!

This is a private event and they will prep it nicely. I think the plan was to start running around 8a!!

Mo can we get the 8-830 start?

There will only be 15 cars max so unlimited runs.

If you think Famoso was hard to hook , you will be ice skating up in Sacramento. That is the poorest track in the State , yes it is fast but you have a 20% chance perhaps less of a good 60ft.

Our best times are at Famoso, you and I did it the same day, it was amazing.

12.1 vs 12.4 in Sac

I think with the proper tire set I go 11.89
