I followed instructions to the "T" and tried it with both position 1 and 2 on the ignition with both FM and AM selected and all I've effectively done is set 3,5, and 7 to the same channel. WTF, mate?!
Give the car to the valet, and take the key with you....
When they realize they don't have the key, they make sure they park your car up front since they won't be able to get it later !!
HAHAHA
I honestly haven't tried it on my car, as the Mercedes logo is on there for such a short duration, imo it's not even worth it to put the AMG up there, although now you've got me curious as to whether or not it'll work!
It's funny, because on my wife's Benz, the Benz logo stays up there long enough to actually be noticeable when she starts the car...if it was up there that long on mine, I'd have done that a long time ago.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I wrote my own how-to version, I think its easier.
EDIT: I am rendered stupid by Improviz's pidgin signature, I just keep watching over and over, it never gets old. HAHA

I believe there is a separate set of instructions on how to do it on the CLS somewhere in the CLS forum. I found it last night, but would have to search for it again.
Like you said, it looks cool if you notice it. When I got in my car this morning, I didn't even look, lol.
I would absolutely love if someone could figure out a way to shuffle through an iPod by playlist through COMAND. I'd even be willing to take that person out to dinner!

I hate that I have to scroll through every song on my iPod until I get to the song I want to hear. It's also a little weird to have Lil Jon followed up by a Christmas song.
:p

Anyway, I looked through the iPod integration kit manual, and you *should* be able to do this by hitting "aux" once the iPod is connected, and then you can scroll to the iPod menu (it should appear in the small cluster display below the speedo) via the paging buttons on the steering wheel.
To get to the different menus once there, you're supposed to use your little phone buttons to navigate. I'll quote:
NOTE
Depending on the active menu there are up to four possible actions available:
1. press (up arrow) or (down arrow) to scroll to another item within a menu
2. press (phone off hook) once to select a menu item
3. press and hold (phone off hook) to jump to the first song in a given list
4. press (phone on hook) to switch back to previous menu.
It supposedly allows you to shuffle songs, use playists, artists, albums, songs, genres, composers, audiobooks, and podcasts.
Hope this helps...and if you ever come to the Dallas area, I know some great steak houses!

Thanks so much! I'm going to try this when I get home today.
I tried to read through the manual once and felt like I was back in college again. That thing is thick!!
Same to you if you are ever in So Cal!
Great; let me know how it works out.
Great! Or hell, for that matter, just PM me a coupla bikini pics and we'll call it good...always been a fan of So Cal girls!!

So I was driving home from work today and I noticed I didn't have a Rest Button. I have a 06 E55 and I believe the rest button were on the 03-04 models.
Is there another button I can press to reach the Climate Control Data?

Thanks,
Johnny Ng
How cool is that.
How do we set the SBC-H and S? I know of the feature but had no idea. i usually put it in Comfort mode and it sits pretty still.
for SBC S hold the cruise control lever downwards for a couple of seconds.
