*******>> Event Update: I just came back from the track. I met with the track owner and gave him the money + list of drivers and cars and went over a few other things. So far, the weather has been cooperating beautifully, so we are still on schedule. Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. and first race to start at 9:15 a.m. unless weather conditions change. If everything goes as scheduled, then racing will end at 4:00 p.m.. In addition, because we felt that it's not fair for James to cover all the food and drinks by himself (although he never said anything), we've decided to charge a small fee of $10 per spectator to help out with the food expenses. Here is a few summary of latest updates/notes:

• Gates will open at 8:00 a.m.
• If weather doesn't interfere, racing will start at 9:15 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.
• There will be a charge of $10 per spectator at the gate.
• If you will be taking pictures or video, please make sure to remove license plate info from pictures and videos. Also, out of respect to some participants, please talk to me at the track before shooting video so I can provide you with a complete list of who prefers to stay off camera completely.
• If anybody is going to drive somebody else's car, then that second person needs to fill out a separate tech card with the same car info unless that person has already filled out a tech card for their own car, in which case, they only need to sign the tech card of the person whom their car they will be driving. I'm not sure if that came out right

Unfortunately for Ed, Mikey weighs similar to Rick appx a buck fifty wet.

This is going to be an event I am actually more excited about watching then piloting my own car down the Famoso track.

 

To add to that.... Mikey also happens to be one of the best and most consistent E55 launcher on the planet

Mikey, you have to make a pass in my car, I'm 100% certain you can get me out of the 12.20 and into 12.10 or flat 12s.....

+1.... 80% of the time, I'll be videotaping I can't wait

actually i just got over a horrible flu and lost 12lbs!!! so if i race dry i'll be lucky to weigh 140 including my helmet!

 

never driven a 63 so i'm not sure if the same technique for the 55 will work...but i'll ***** out my services.

Can't wait for this weekend! Weather looks nice and the group of cars we have is going to be a lot of fun!

I'll be testing out my new Quaife posi, hopefully with better 60' times and a new world record! I even added M3 rear torque links so I'll have a chance against Sticky.

 

sticky's car is getting some special lovin' as I speak - so beware! lol

I just wanted to say thanks to MB Forever and anyone else involved in putting this spectacular event together. This is my 1st MB event and it's going to be INSANE!

I also wanted give thanks to James for being the great vendor he is and helping out with all goodies! Also, thanks for bringing down the rotors and helping out ! BTW...the pictures of the spacers was pm'd to ya.

 

Why aren't you coming is what I want to know? Would be much safer than meeting up in "mexico" as we originally planned, eh?

Plus, I have seen your 997 but never your M6, would be nice to have it out there.

 

Are you bringing the 335 or the 135?

When did you see the 997TT- local I assume??

I have plans that I cant miss or escape from or for sure I would go up. Mexico is safe, trust me and it will take only 1 hour total to drive, run and go home. Dont worry my old E55 is going and its latest dyno's numbers are very formidable. I expect excellent numbers from all the boys going up from HMS especially Sun and Blue.

 

I think he is bringing the cheaper car. The 135i. I wonder if he will still have a chance against a modded M3?
