Out Of Control!!
I could really care less if we open it up to another 10-15 cars, 45 cars is not that many, most of us will not be hot lapping, I only intend on making 8-10 passes the entire day. If people have their ***** together in the staging line we should be able to make a pass overy 60-90 seconds.
The one thing I would be against is allowing a bunch of 8-9 second cars, those seem to be the ones that always end up oiling down the track. Keep it to reliable street cars and things should be fine.

No 8-9s cars? Rarfinancial, guess you are out!

I know it happens, but with my experience at test & tunes and other events it more often than not seems to be the 8-9 sec cars like mustangs and firebirds that are oiling down the track or dumping trans fluid or water/coolant down the track. I know any of us can do it, like you said **** happens, but IMO if they open this up to more cars, they should be 11-14 second street cars, I just think it would be smarter.

Right on, Lets just have fun, Run what you brung and the slips will tell the story, Thats what were all here for, Less talk and more timeslips. And BTW Ive got a couple of us poised to run Willows big track if we can work it out, Same day as was mentioned above, Dont think for a minute these 4500 hemi's dont work well in the twisties. My Challenger was not just built for straight lines, This bad boys got 44 bushings and full track 2 Suspension. And Cams Magnum has been known to get around that track like no ones bussiness.

You add in some sprinkles and the race day can be shortened down in a real hurry. It's perfect the way it is, that way lots of pairing can be done.

What's another 10 cars? It will be more competitive, I promise.

Guys, for now we're keeping the event limit at 30 cars. I've talked to many of the people who have helped set this up initially, and they all wanted to stay at 25 cars let alone 30. Trust me, you'll appreciate that decision once you're at the track. Last time, we literally had no wait time what so ever at the staging line, and we were able to try so many different setups, and re-prep the track a few times without delay. But once a car breaks down, depending on the severity, we may have to wait 2 to 3 hours for the track to get re-prepped and any dangerous material removed. And even then, the track is usually not the same right after.
Anyways, this doesn't mean others won't be able to join us. There's almost always last minute cancellations. On our last event, we had 10 people who PAID, and 3 of them cancelled at the last minute for what ever reason (full money was refunded by the way). We ended up taking 3 people from the waiting list. Then one person that was on the waiting list cancelled, and we finally took the last person remaining. In the end, we were able to get almost everyone to join us.
In addition, it's sometimes extremely hard to get hold of the track owner (and I have his cell phone, home phone, work phones, work e-mail, personal e-mail, and even one close relative's cell phone). He can't get rid of me too easily

Waiting List
I for one say leave it at the initial/original plan we discussed. As we discussed, opening beyond the initial Private Track Day from 10 to 25 vehicles was to accomodate more cars, but the main goal was to keep down the cost. Then you added 5 more increasing it to 30 cars. As you and I discussed thats now 15 cars per lane. Now another 10 cars.... to 40 cars?!?!
In the coming week "trust me" you will have 10 more asking and another 10 after them and another 10 after them!
The whole point (as you and I discussed) was to get away from having a Fontana type day. If individuals didnt sign up in time on this forum, as the other forums we posted this event, well I say its unfortunate BUT ONLY FAIR they understand there is a line, and it starts below.
1) Envied - Jeep SRT8
2) palantirion - 2007 Z4 M Coupe/2003 M5
3) 05whitehemi - QCSB Ram
4) Bryce - 2006 300SRT8
5) Max.H - E55 - Stock
6) Brute SRT
7) TravisM6 - BMW M6 - Stage 2+
8) Bryan55 - C6 Z06 - Bolt-ons
9) TectiteK4E55 - E55 - Kleemann Stage 4
10)

Rick, I will be at Willow in January 15th, Evosport put together the event, it's $395.00 if you register before Jan 2nd and $100 more after the 2nd. You will get to see what my junk was built to do now...that drag racing stuff is just filler, road racing is my passion.

Hey guys, sorry for the hijack.......but it's too late, haha.
jrcart or who ever can answer this question. I was wondering something. What kind of times are you guys laying down at Willow on the big track. I've done more then a couple hundred laps there. With the combo I used to have, I had my lap times within a couple hundreths of each other consistantly. I've been wanting to go back with my new package, damn shame the 15th doesn't work in my schedule or I'd join ya.

I'm ready to pay when my turn comes around.
I never knew there were so many MBz that like to run the 1/4, How cool is that. I think the LXers might have their hands full at this event...

I'll respect whatever Mo wants to do but if the choice were to allow 10-20 more cars and have each of us pay a proportionally less amount, I'm OK with that. 40-50 cars running both lanes should let us run as often as we want.
PS. I should be paid up!

I would prefer to keep the event as it is.
I really enjoyed being able to do runs quickly and try out different setups last time. I would rather pay a bit more and have more runs with no waiting.

The one thing I would be against is allowing a bunch of 8-9 second cars, those seem to be the ones that always end up oiling down the track. Keep it to reliable street cars and things should be fine.

I traded that car in a day and a half later and got another new 335i sedan. I plan on going to Sacramento this weekend (weather permitting) in my other 335i (O8 coupe) and hope to hit 11's in it also. Preliminary testing has it doing a 12.2 @ 116.3 mph ET with my street Nittos, and 97 octane.
So this Saturday, Sacramento Raceway Park is having their test and tune from 12-4pm, It is only $50. It would be awesome to have some AMGs show up. I am willing to bet there won't hardly be anyone there because of the Xmas holiday weekend, and you can make 20+ runs if you want.
