e63 front bumper installation woes

Hi everyone,

Update: found missing part numbers, thanks everyone

My E500 is at the bodyshop with the full E63 kit installed minus the front bumper. The part number I ordered included the front apron, grills, fogs, and related parts but NOT any of the inner parts.

My bodyshop has asked me to order the following parts:

A) 620 - centre plastic reinforcement x1 (the sides will be reused)
B) 700, 695, 690, 685, 680, foam cushions x1/ea
C) 660 - washer nozzle x2
D) 170, 180 - metal brackets (different diagram)

You need to order 630 and 640 to go along with 620. It is not possible to reuse the old E55 or E500 parts as the side marker lights clamp through a hole in these parts to help stiffen the bumper. The mounting tabs will also be in the wrong place down in the foglight area.

What is the full part number of 170/180 that you think you need? I ask because there are no metal brackets that you should need for the front bumper.

Contrary to common belief, 890 and 910 are not required...same part number as the E55.

THanks Blacksport. I'll order 630 and 640.
Would you mind posting or PM'ing the full part number list so I have something to go from?

To confirm, I need 211-885-07-16 and 211-885-08-16 as well, right?

Yes, these two parts are foam reinforcements that fit to either side of the center opening at the bottom of the bumper cover and support the sides of the front engine tray (also specific to the E63). These parts get bonded into place.

Thanks, Carl.

Is there any parts besides this that i need?
A) 620, 630, 640 x1/ea
B) 700, 695, 690, 685, 680, foam cushions x1/ea
C) 660 - washer nozzle x2
D) 211-885-07-16, 211-885-08-16 x1/ea

Also, did you have to cut out the reflector mounting area to mount the ebay clear reflectors? (if that makes sense) Mine looks like a template that requires cutting.

Yes, you need those. See the thread I just started.

If you have all the correct parts, the ebay lights should fit right in to the factory light holes so I'm not sure what the problem is. You may have some of the wrong parts.
