Removed Charcoal Filters
Hello Guys,
I removed my charcoal filters today, i unplugged the two sensors that are connected to the airbox, took out filter and refitted. I then reassembled everything , made sure everything was connected properly. It feels like it has more oopmh! anyway to the point, car drives fine and everything, but a hour later a got a Check Engine Light, could this be related to me taking the charcoal filters out or a whole other matter? car just got back from dealership with a service D.

Not to be rude or anything but if you pulled out the charcoal filters then you got a cel- it's pretty obvious that the removal of the charcoal filters is causing the cel. Reset the cel and see if it comes back on, if it does- put the filtes back in and reset it again and see if it comes back on. Do you have a code reader?

I have a service appointment on the 30th, they are giving me new wheels to replace the current ones as they are starting to flake. Anyway so should i try to find the fix on these forums, or tell the dealer my CEL came on? also if i take it in should i put the filters back on ?

I would recommend putting the filters back in then just telling the dealership that the cel's came on after you picked the car up from their servicing it.

It is a standard On Board Display II (OBDII) hookup and it is just up under the dash by your left knee. There should be a little red flip door to access it and the cable simply snaps in. Very simple.
