WHAT were they thinking with that rear quarter design???
And does anyone know if they will still have a CLK coupe next to this E coupe in the lineup? I've always thought of the CLK as an E class coupe

I think its hideous, but I thought that about the new S class when spy pics were released and now I love it. Same with the C. I guess we'll just have to wait and see the final product - its too early to pass judgement.

BMW destroyed the look of its cars starting i guess ab 5-6 yrs ago with the 7 series and every design since I always thought Mercedes was killin them.
However besides the new S Class i think every Benz design in the past few years is just OK. When the W210 E Class came out that car was a smash hit homerun and had everyone talking ab it and mentioned in every rap song for 5 yrs. The same for the CL of the same period and the SL and the Clk430 of '00 had me stopped in my tracks at the auto show. The 211 E Class had no where near the same clout and to me neither does the new CL and they outright destroyed the CLK and made a macho Wide Shouldered Bad *** into a Girls car. The SL was a smash as well and when i see the new one i scratch my head and say - What they hell have the done to this?? BTW ive owned all of the aforementioned cars.
Sorry but the new E looks absurdly close to the CL and all the cars look pretty much the same to me.
I dont know call me crazy but I havent seen anything from Benz in the past 6-7 years that has floored me. Well except for the Black Series - and if you ask me they could have made that a hell of alot crazier too.

guys, these are spy shots and the real body is hidden in these pics. Once you see the real thing, I am sure it will be hot. I never like cars when I see undercover pics like these. Once the real thing comes out, its a whole different ball game. Have you seen the spy shots of the new S-class before it came out? Or even the W211 e-class before it came out? If so, you'll know what I mean....
