Had my MB service buddy install the ASP pulley set today.

Definitely quality products as commented by the installer here in SoCal.

Finally got a picture of the steel carter plate since I had the car up on a lift.

I bought it from MBenzNL, but had my MB Service buddy install it who was able to put it in easily. This was done quite a while ago. It is heavy, but provides the protection I want.

Nah. I still got the main Renntech pulley. I just installed the tensioner and idler pulleys that I bought from ASP a while back. It's a good deal. The pulleys are very well made.

Definitely without a doubt, better than the plastic one. I didn't want to take any chances for the future after seeing some pics of busted pulleys and reading this thread:

Got this put on this past weekend:

t-bone's 2004 W211 E55 mods (56k beware)-mattediffuser2.jpg

I wanted the matte carbon fiber look so I went with this new diffuser.

My old one is now for sale. It was the clearcoated one. Please PM me if interested. I will ship anywhere. It has a few small cracks since it's been on the car for about six years now.

I thought we might last Friday but Sun couldn't make it. Maybe sometime later on in the day Wed or Thurs? We can go cruise somewhere and get some grub too.

I decided to black chrome all my emblems. I think it goes better with my car's color. I think it's also a more subtle look.

Thanks!

It was about $140 to have them all painted. Had it done in Thailand.

Just received the CLEAN BAG.

It snaps into the net on the side of the passenger seat. It's basically a trash can. A plastic bag fits very nicely inside to hold anything people want to throw away.

Are you part of "The Joneses" for Mercedes or something?

Nicely done car. Can you provide info about the new diffuser?

Thanks for the compliments. I like adding OEM things to my car.

The new diffuser I have is just the OEM plastic piece wrapped with the 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber film. Took a few hours to do. Sanding down the texture took the longest. Applying the film wasn't too difficult.

It's been holding up well so far.

My old one which is shown earlier in the thread is real carbon fiber. However, that has recently been sold.

Not a mod, but a small item to go in my car:

t-bone's 2004 W211 E55 mods (56k beware)-a6537978.jpg

Picked up two of them from Tokyo. About 18" x 18" or 45cm x 45cm. Nice quality leather.
