According to accuweather, it is supposed to rain right when they open up at noon! ARRRGH! I wrote to the track and asked it that automatically means a cancellation, or if they have track drying equipment. I'm really apprehensive about making the 800 mile trip if it is going to get rained out.
hopefully rain will not be a factor at that time.

Any east coast guys run? NHRA.com just reported Palm Beach International raceway was at negative -1400' DA yesterday!!! Negative DA in florida??? Must be global warming screwing up everything. Here's the link http://www.nhra.com/content/news/34748.htm those pro stock were flying.

Weekend after next seems idea. Next weekend is a mini heat-wave or something. About 10 degrees warmer. Weekend after that though looks like it is high 40s-low 50's. Just don't know about the precipitation prediction. Look at accuweather temperature graph, and you can see the cooling in temps the weekend after next.

So far the only 2 tracks that have been very strict about these kind of things are Fontana and Infineon.....

Actually next weekend is supposed to be beautiful. About 59F high, so not the coolest. But at least as good or better than when we went to Famoso. The weekend after that is cooler, but rain is forecast. So maybe next weekend would be a good compromise?

That is one advantage of Sacramento, depending on the last minute weather updates, you can decide to go without a commitment to the track. Its just pay the $50 whenever you arrive at the entrance if you decide to go.

When do you guys anticipate making a decision on the date of a 2nd event? I am going to be arriving into OC on the morning of Thursday the 18th and running at Willow again on the 19th, I would like to drag race that weekend as well, but if not, I am going to try to get my hands on a couple of infield passes to the NASCAR race at Fontana that weekend and park my hauler in their and party for a couple days. The sooner you guys can let me know the better.

Looks like the majority of people prefer a night session towards the end of February at Famoso, then all other votes are divided almost equally among the rest of the options.
I was hoping some of our SRT brothers would vote as well
I think when it comes to Sacramento, everybody agrees that we don't need a private rental to go up there we can all agree on one date and head out there 
and since not a lot of people like to go up there, it's always almost private for us
