How many folks are running TPMS in their aftermarket wheels

So im too cheap to buy another set of TPMS and dont want to take out the ones from my stock. Seems like a huge headache

So I am trying to see how many are not running them

Also, guys with 20's with 25 series profile, is there enough room to run TPMS with no problems.

I know of a bunch that had issues a few years back because of tire profile. They would lay the sensors sideways and still some would get loose after time. Then, I remember some low profile sensors coming out but dunno about price.

I do... but my tires are 35f & 30r. No problem so far... In case you don't know, you could order a set from Luke @ Tire Rack (a sponsor here). I think it only costed me like $130ish. Be sure to give him your VIN so you'll get the right ones as there are several different frequency.

$130 per tire or all 4 sensors?

Pardon me for quoting wrong numbers... I just checked the invoice again... I paid $365 for all 4 including shipping. And I think the dealer quoted $300-400 for 1 sensor.

Not on a Benz but I run TPMS on my M6 with 255x30x20 and 305x25x20 tires. I have broken two sensors in about 18 months and both on are on the same wheel. The first time there was a small leak and the pressure was low but not enough to send me a warning damn!!. I hit a pothole and the sensor was shattered. The most recent time it just broke off, probably from all the high speed runs I do. For me its worth it still, I get peace of mind and I need to know the pressure is up especially with these rubber band tires and expensive wheels. The rears where I have the 25 series are fine.

I was not able to transfer my TPM sensors from my 18" stock wheels to the CLS55 19" wheels..

The guy who sold me the wheels told me that the 19"s used a different system and had no pre drilled holes to mount the sensor.

I never really looked into it.. but it would be nice to know if I could mount them.

My sensors are from MY03 and the CLS55 wheels are 2007
