Anyone else get a Free GPS unit (Garmin 255)?

Anyone else get a Free GPS unit (Garmin 255)?
This was strange. It came in the mail yesterday from Chrysler Service Contracts. I purchased an extended MB warranty from them a few months ago for $1500 but I did not think this was part of the deal. It's very much appreciated but it seems like a strange promotion from a company on the verge of bankruptcy. BTW, the unit sells for about $250.

Haha...I wonder if I'll get one. I just paid for a 3 year extended warranty with MBUSA. I guess I'll let you know.

Don't use it! They sent it so they can track you at the drag strip and deny claims!

woah the extended warranty only cost 1500 for you guys in the US?

i got the 3 year extended warranty from MBUSA and it cost me a little over 5k CAD

BMW and Audi have people at track events and auto-x's taking down license plate info and have used that to deny peoples warranty claims.

It's not new it's been going on for years

Rock, Chrysler Service Department just called me and said they shipped my Garmin GPS to u by accident. i just PMed u my mailing address so u can ship it to the right owner.

The GPS was part of a Chrysler promotion that was running at the time we bought our Contracts.

I got mine the other day and got a cool $175 from a guy near me on Craigslist (nice discount on a reasonably price contract).

That said, with Chrysler's woes, wondering if I should be worrying about the service plan remaining intact?

thats why i opted to pay mine over 12 month interest free... i was assured that even if they go belly up they will still pay for repairs, they just wion't sell new contracts.
