Car squiggles under heave accleration

Under heavy accleration I feel the rear end squiggling. It seems to move left to right.
Any ideas what bushing I have to change.

Mercedes
you can get an LSD, but the car has a mountain of torque that it has to try and put to the ground!!

The tubular toe-links and adjustable rear camber bushings from Renntech help significantly.

Renntech toe links solve the problem, or help a lot.

Hey, do you have larger tires or rims on her?

Had a guy have wiggle awhile back and when he peaked at the inside of the tire, he noticed it was ready to burst from rubbing inside the fender.

Couldn't hear it connect or anything. Scary

That's why you want the LSD, it helps the car put the power down

search "wiggle" as this problem has been around for a while. it seems to happen mostly with 295's or 285's without the proper offset or on rim that isn't wide enough for the tire.

A few things are going on to cause the walk.

The rear toe links are weak and they will flex under load, changing those out to real toelinks like the Renntech and EVOSport ones help.

The lack of limited slip diff is the major contributing factor. In order to try to equalize traction the ESP is selectively applying the rear brakes trying to keep wheel spin under control, that is steering the car to the side with the slower rotation. Get a proper LSD in there (Quaife) and watch the problem diminish.

Tires will help but only for the first few thousand miles

Bottom line is any car with big power like ours WILL walk when coming out of the hole.

the wiggle that many have complained about over the years not only happens out of the hole but also during higher speed acceleration. not that it can't be in some cases but i don't think the problem is toe links or lsd related in most. lsd was one of the last mods i performed so i had been running above stock power on the oem diff with zero "walk" for quite a while. i'm also still on stock toe links.

My SL600 had this problem after switching to 295 MP's scary wiggle on hard to moderate acceleration on city streets, then noticed even more pronounced rocking side to side @ frwy speeds while goosing throttle during lane changes. It was feeling like my old 69' Bronco (had a broken steering stabilizer shock)

I replaced the tires w/Pirelli P-Zero 295's the problem instantly disappeared, it's due to the softer side-wall on the Michelin Pilots (Like others mentioned mostly when using 295's) but can happen as the tires wear/age they will loose side-wall stiffness, especially the MP's...

If you look closely the MP's & some other tire brands are marked for Mercedes use or NON-Mercedes use, they know about this problem, I believe it's a combination of the Merc's hefty curb weight/Massive torque/Soft side-wall tire selection or wear/age..

I had this same feeling with my stock tires 265 35 18's and after installing the Renntech toe links the problem went away. Before I could duplicate that same feeling over and over again, initially I thought I was getting squirly from breaking the tires loose. After doing some searching I purchased the toe links and couldn't be happier.
