I know are cars are very fast in the 1/4 mile for a sedan. But i was watching super cars exposed on the speed channel it was a episode on the Texas mile. Has anyone ever gone with a W211 E55? Or what it the fastest top speed a E55 has ever been?

 

I've seen them pegged at 200MPH/320KPH with tunes...should be able to find those vids on youtube.

 

I'm dreaming of 200mph. My Powerchip tune limits at 180ish.....not that I've pegged it.

Theoretically a car with the following stats>:

4200lbs
0.28 drag coeff
26 sq ft frontal area
415 rwhp

**SHOULD** be able to reach 197mph

now change the power from 415rwhp to 525rwhp(k4) and the new theoretical top speed is

214mph!!!!!!!!!

Please note that due to the very inefficiant IC in our cars...as the speed goes up---so does the temps and the ecu tends to remove HP......so even though the vehicle may dyno 530rwhp...it probably wont be making that at 200mph

 

Does the front lips like one that JBseed sells really help at higher speeds? or is it just show?

 

I plan on taking my W211 out to the Texas Mile over the next year or so...

I would like to run my SL at the Texas Mile and Silver State Classic to see if I can break 200mph...and if so by how much.
200+mph is just insane...especially in a MB!

I never liked my E55 past 180 with its air mattress suspsension errr I meant airmatic.

Now the BS is a different story with its suspension set up.

Yes, I am planning on running MIR, however my car is in California at Evosport and there is one mod we are working on that is slightly delayed. I am supposed to get a firm answer from Brad sometime today. I was supposed to be flying out to Cali today for a track event, however the event got cancelled due to weather. Hopefully they can get the car done by early next week so I can have it shipped to MIR.

 

I love the M6 at higher speeds even when I had the factory suspension. Now its a no brainer with the KWv3 suspension. Its even more stable than my 997TT.

 

wow 210 mph good luck. hope you get it. Evo had the their new 997 turbo with the EVt700 kit which runs a high 10 second 1/4 but it only got around 189 mph i think, and the tuned carrera GT got like mid 180's.

 

Yes!! With a 607 HP W210 E55 they hit 338 Km/h (210,7 Mph) back in 2002
