My stereo turns itself up, but its awsome: Read on....
I have put this in W211 AMG thread and The audio thread:
Just a quicky... I was out last weekend and was putting my right foot down a little. I noticed when I reached 100+ mph the stereo volume went up. I thought I was mistaken or I had accidently pressed the volume + on the steering wheel. BUT, I was out again today in my E55 2003 and it increased the volume of the stereo twice on two seperate 100+ mph runs. My wife and I were realy surprised that the car does this volume increase when the car growls and snorts at high speeds. I dont often drive at these dangerous speeds and certainly dont recomend anyone else does
I want to know if anyone else has had this happen (you may not have noticed due to the focus needed when driving at high speeds) or have I got a fault that finally is good
Let me know......

Yup, SDS can deactivate it. Dealer knows how to do it. They charged me .5hr, which was a rip-off since it only took them 5 minutes, but whatever. For $60 I got rid of always having to turn the volume up when I slowed down and down when I sped up. Still worth it.

I took mine to Beverly HIlls Mercedes and they're a bunch of idiots. I told them that it has to be possible and they kept saying it isn't. I told them to hook the computer thingy up to my ca (wtvr that things called) and we spent a little over 20 minutes messing with it. Finally I told him to listen to me and I made a couple of right guesses and theydid it, Didn't charge me though ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If they flash your car though it comes back.
IMO it's fun when you're speedintg up, but annoying when you're slowing down.

Thanks CWW, I'll look into it. It's a load of crap, especially when I'm trying to plow through the 55 Freeway in the dead of the night like I'm on the straights at Le Sarthe-- it's like my music is chasing me.

I may be mistaken but I think I remember seeing something in the Engineering Menu about the speed sensitive volume.
I went into the Eng Menu to change the display to AMG upon startup, and also to enable mp3 playback, and while I was in there fooling around, I could have sworn I saw something in regards to this function. I personally like it so I left it.
