Another Fog HID problem

I have had hid fogs in my car for over a year no problem and then the drivers side went out so I assumed it was a blown bulb so I ordered a new set and when I got them installed it and it was still not working well then my buddy told me it could be a bad ballast and so then I ordered a new hid kit with 2 ballasts and bulbs and tried those still not working ??? the passenger side works but not the drivers side, I tried looking for a fuse but i couldn't find a fuse for the lights anywhere. Any ideas ? Or anybody know where the fuse is ? I also tried to disconnect the battery in case the comouter had to reset or anything but I have no clue ??

There are no fuses for any exterior lights on the W211. All of them are computer controlled. Is your car throwing any errors?

Guys I'm thinking to buy HID kit for my fog light but do I need the capacitor or anything like that for cancelling all the errors ??? also is there a kit that just plug and play (w/capacitor built in) ???

Thanks,

Andy

211's seem super picky with fogs. I'm thinking your error cancelers broke or burned out.

Just stick with the stock halogens. I know its not as white as you would like, but its tough doing these HID conversions on BMW/Mercedes. A lot of times I can get it to work, but eventually out of the blue, one day things just go bad and it doesn't work anymore. They're not reliable. Stick to the halogens and save yourself some headache.

I will on occasion get an error but the fogs will be ok. Go figure...
