Aleksander, my "hit" was not to far from your house, I was on my way to my dads house who also lives in Hinsdale and I decided to take the long way and cut down Cass ave. to head out by Argonne National Laboratory (great twisties back there) and I wacked one of those crazy white albino deer that are everywhere back there.
....have you ever seen the 3-4 ft tall rabbits they have there? Those crazy scientist are doing some weird shizzle up in that joint

I hit a deer a few weeks ago right near my home.
In my 911TT (996). Bummer. About $7K in damages. Waiting for the parts.

You guys are lucky. Here in the bay area I've almost hit transvestites, homeless, craters (much larger than any known pot hole), clowns (literally), prostitutes, chickens (literally again). You name it and it's on a road somewhere around here.

That reminds me of when I used to visit the Bay (grew up there) I once ran over something that left me all kinds of confused.
I was in my lowered 2002 Z06 and I ran over something fleshy colored with some red mixed in. I thought it was a body part!! Turns out it was... It was the head of a pig. 880 south on my way to Fremont.... My car smelled like cheeseburgers for months!!

My wife and I are road bicyclists.
A few years ago, we went for a ride in the mountains around here, (behind Saratoga on Pierre road, for those familiar with the area), we were going downhill, I had let my wife go ahead of my by about 20-25 feet. When a deer jumped out from the side of the road, right at my wife.
He saw her at the last second. Tried to stop, and his hooves slipped on the damp road surface. He was on his side, struggling to get up. Never hit my wife, she rode right by...
I came up and hit smack into the deer at over 30mph on my road bicycle. The deer at this time was on his side, with his back towards me, his spine was the lowest point, and his rib cage was a ramp. I went airborned, my fork pretzled in an instant, and I started going over the handlebar, heading over the cliff.
I tried all my might to changed my momentum toward some roadside bushes. Landed on them, less than 10" from a steel sprinkler head. I was ***ked up pretty bad. My wife and another cyclist stopped to tend to me, first words out of my mouth were: "How's the deer?" The helping cyclsit said"
"It's fine, it walked away, but YOU looked pretty F***** up, dude"
I hate deers.

More people in the US loose their lives to deer than any other animal. Sharks don't even come close. Bears, bearly. In Pa, more deer are killed on the highways than by hunters. Maybe it is a good case for fully automatic weapons.

I almost hit a deer a couple months back, was going about 75 or 80 on (of course) a tight typical no-shoulder middle of nowhere hilly curvy highway, and its black outside, and all of a sudden, I see the eyes flash before anything, and it just ran across the road, a little ways in front of me. If I hadn't happened to glance sideways, I would've been screwed. Honestly, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack, lol. That bimmer pic is crazy, 135, is it a 545? That must've been seriously insanely scary!
