Ahhh.... do you know whether they still have any left over '08 R class?
Earlier this year or towards end of last year, I saw at least $15K off MSRP. That made a decently optioned R350 mid 30's. If I could get one high 20's, I would definitely get one.

I'm still waiting/looking for that awesome deal for a used E55. With the way the economy is going and the "green" thing I think if I wait another 6 to 8 months they should be even more of a steal? Does anyone think that is a good idea or have they hit the bottom? I just can't believe how much they have dropped in price.

I'm looking at the CL65 on ebay watching them drop in price there are a couple with 15k and 25k miles going for $53k. When I am back in CA in June there is one in SD I am thinking of telling them ill take it off there hand for $40k something then of course right to VRP once the VRP825 is perfected!

Crown Mercedes in OH has a new 08 E63 for 25k off sticker, new 08 SL600 for ($148 list) for $100k, and a 08 CLK 63 BS (black) with 5500 miles for $85K. If anyone's interested please ask for Ryan Niddel.

Mercedes,Porsche etc
well they are not going to double them because they would be losing out of pocket money,..
the invoice on the cars or dealer cost, is about 7-12 k or slightly more on the 120k+ cars like the SL 65 cl 65 etc..
I think on the E 63 the invoice or dealer cost is about 8k or so below sticker.
so the old trick dealers use , is they take a E63 that has P1 or P2
and little other options,, and has invoice of say 90k
then, they add dealer installed options which cost them very little, and
add like 5-6k to the price of the car..
so then they say 95k car, discounted the 8k their invoice cost plus
say the 5k in dealers options. for 13 k total discount..
but they are really selling the car for cost, because the added options were only labor and a few dollars for parts, and when you minus the 8 K dealer cost discount,, that makes them about break even maybe lose 1k
so selling cars at cost, or say a few thousand below to take a 2-3k hit is not too bad,, as it keeps cash flowing going..
but no way are they going to discount a car that they only make 8-12k on, by 30 k, cause that is a out of pocket real loss of like 17k..
they would be out of business in a few months..
sure 1 or 2 dealers do this that are in real trouble, but most dont.. and wont,...
here is LA, where the largest MERC market is,, if you get 10-15k off you doing well
also when you see a dealer advertise 20k off,, its a DEMO car that was driven by like 50 people, and has a thousand miles on it,, usually about 1500-2500 and almost always has some sort of dings or scratches..
I have seen and been to like 15 dealers in the last year, and seen this time and again,, and have friends that work there, and know the demo cars are mostly messed up with a few exceptions..
that is why you see, the dealer say 3 car models at this price,,
even though they have like 10 of the same model on the lot..
just a fyi from insiders..
