*** MidSection Exhaust Solutions for W211/W219 ***

With all the talk about X-pipes on the board I would like to offer several solutions to suit, depending on a budget and power goals.

1. X-pipe resonator replacement.

X-pipe a 3’’ design that replaces stock factory resonator. It’s main benefit is improvement in car’s exhaust sound. The pipe welds directly in place of factory resonator on E55, CLS55, E63 and CLS63. It can be made to fit on S55, S63 and can be used to replace secondary cats on SL55 and SL63s.
On 55s it gives more European sound to the engine vs. straight pipes that tend to make it sound like an American V8. On 63s, due to it’s 11.3:1 compression ratio, it adds a very nice, deep wide-open throttle roar, that it sadly lacking from factory exhaust. Under cruise it is very mild, without any drone or resonance.

It is hand made from 409 stainless steel and comes with limited lifetime warranty against corrosion.

On sale for $379 ($170 off our regular $549).

2. 2.5'' Converter Inlet Flange Assemblies.

Stock converter assembly has one bottle-neck that is somewhat hidden, unless one takes the assembly off and measures the inlet. Although stock AMG H-pipe assembly features 70 mm (2.75’’) pipes and converters, the inlet that bolts to the exhaust manifolds is only 2.175''. When upgrading to VRP, evosport or RennTech headers this restriction limits how much power the headers can add. This is why I designed and manufactured a new replacement inlet flange that features largest possible inlet - 2.5'', while still bolting onto stock, evosport, renntech or VRP headers. It is available as a flange kit that can be welded in stock location and will allow you to retain the rest of your factory system.

I am in the process of doing dyno testing. Expectations are 5-10HP on stock cars, 12-15HP for Stage II. It fits all 1998 and up Mercedes and AMG V6 and V8 engines. It is made out of 409 stainless steel and comes with limited lifetime warranty against corrosion.

2.5'' Converter Flange Assembly Introductory Special - $239 ($40 of regular price $279). Set of 2.

3. MidSection 3’’ X-pipe Assembly (MSXA)

If you would like to replace your complete mid pipe, we offer a 3’’ version to maximize power potential of the Kompressor motor. MSXA will directly bolt in place of factory (E or CLS) assembly without any cutting or welding. It features 2.5'' Inlet Flanges, mandrel bends and built in X-pipe. We will also offer a version with 3’’ Metal Core Catalytic Converters, a version to bolt on to Kleemann Headers, as well as RACE version to fit an upcoming 3’’ version of our short style headers. It is made from 409 stainless steel and comes with limited lifetime warranty against corrosion. Further dyno testing to follow. Kleemann fitment will be available shortly, I need a car with them on to confirm fitment.

MidSection 3’’ X-pipe Assembly (MSXA)- fits stock, VRP, evosport and RennTech short headers -
Introductory Special - $1199 ($150 off regular price of $1349)

For HiFLow 200 cell Metal Catalytic Converters add $399.

Thank you for listening.

DYNO DAY!!!!!
I will have an announcement on that very shortly.

Hey Vadim - Did you sort out the wagon fitment issue?
Yes, the SW has a slightly longer exhaust which we can adjust for by adding length to rear pipes.

For#3, does the Computer sense the extra flow going thru the exhaust since its a 3" pipe and throw any CELs?

Just curious coming from JDM and turbo back exhaust...
Also, how much shipped for #3 to Honolulu, HI 96818?

How long does it take to install? and would it be safe to say that combining this system with either LT's or Kleemann Headers some cars could pick up 40-45hp?

Vadim-

Do you have MXSA catless midpipes for sale and if so, what is the pricing on those?
Once tuned, would that remove the CEL?

Could you make a catless H midpipe, pricing if that is a option?

Lastly, what is the length a diameter of the x pipe resonator replacement?

i have the kleeman k2 setup. can i still make use of #2 and #3?
i already have #1.
i cant really see where #2 bolts on to.

anyways if possible to do, maybe i can test the fitment for #3 with kleeman setup.
im in vancouver, BC though.

No CEL with cats, w/o cats we offer turning rear O2 off if you have our software.

Please PM your zip code and I will give price delivered.

Install is about 1.5 hrs. Most long tubes come with some sort of midpipe. With Kleemann headers 40-45RWHP on a car with more boost, TB and intake would be possible.

MXSA catless is in production - $1199, plus shipping. We can remove O2 CEL through software.

I can also make it as H-pipe, same price. They are all 3''.

Thank you for the offer, but I need a local car. #3 comes with #2.

Vadim, I like you MXSA

how much louder than stock do you think it will be with Klee +200 cats?

What's the best location for those CATs: there where they are now or closer to the X .. or after it?

thanks

Thanks Dyno!

MSXA adds nice throaty sound to the exhaust, but not loud.

Cats are best close to stock. If they are too far away, they do not work as well.

Vadim,

pardon for insisting on this point about CAT,
I take this chance to ask you what I posted in another thread without getting any answer:

as far as I understand, the best location for cats' pollution efficiency would be closest possible to headers so as to have the gas outflow immediately hit them and let them quickly warm-up.
From a performance point of view, on the contrary, they should be placed farther, more or less to the end of the downpipe, to allow the quickest possible outflow of gases. At least, this is what I see in max performance applications.

Further, any idea about a muffled X-pipe which could help to keep sound down to quasi-stock ?

for example, the race version of SuperSprint X-pipe (indeed something closer to an interference pipe like in our AMG65 exhaust ) is this:

but I found that they also have a "muffled" version like this in which I am very interested:

I'm not sure how it is made: I mean if that box is something like an "absorption" device (like a resonator) or is it a "reflection" device like a muffler. The difference in sound is that the absorption style is more bumpy.

Don't know if you like more or not its sound but indeed we see that AMG uses in the SL63 reflection boxes instead of and absorption/resonator : see those two things below after sec. cats:

it's a pity I'm not close enough to you
.. you are making what I always wanted

Dyno, in the end, unless you are running tuned headers, cat placement will have very little effect on power.

Muffing the X-pipe deletes any sound benefits.

thanks,
but I'm going to do the mid section for performance, not for sound.

I look for sound into end mufflers ..

ps: what you mean with tuned header

Tuned headers as in 36'' + long primaries, like what we use to sell and what Supersprint makes.

Wow, now i have to throw a MSXA into the mix when thinking about my next mods.

Question to all;

What do you guys think is the way to go?

TB (comparable pricing) but extra money for install

or

MSXA and less $ for install

This will all have to be thought of after I do something about my cooling situation

TIA

As soon as I can I will make some videos.

We also will offer the MidSection Assembly with staright pipes in case someone already installed X-pipe in place of resonator.

Price is $999.

[RE MUFFLED X_PIPE

best was to tune and tone the X -pipe and rest of exhaust is to do what I did, and have the X-pipe, and then 1/2 way after X-pipe and before mufflers, put a high flow bullet resonator on each pipe,
it will quiet the resonance, and help reduce sound reflection
yet will not affect flow as its straight through basically , just abosorbing sound, not reducing airflow..

it helps quiet exhaust slightly and along with VADIM;s X -pipe should
should give nice midtones, and a euro sound..
luv mine
