Want your Suggestion Guys!!
Lambo here I come!!!!!
You may be waiting a while (not as much buyers as previously) --
If you're impatient like me you would just take your loss and trade in the car for Gallardo (I don't like waiting for things once I have my mind set on them lol)
Congrats & good luck !

Keep us posted and add photos of the new car,
You will enjoy it immensely....
Have you driven one before ?
I dislike the fact they feel a bit crammed inside, but the driving aspect is great !

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

. I love my Benz no doubt its a one of a kind vehicle but I'm really not enjoying all the bells and whistles, its truly being used as a toy. Its never seen rain, snow and its been in the garage since November
so I decided to get a real toy Lambo and maybe i will look into a LP-560 of course I have a budget. so that depends on how much more it cost. Anyways I would love to see a video made of Stock E63 or CLS63 vs a Stock Gallardo from a roll (60mph) and see the out come!! hint hint hint!

.1/4 mile trap speed is a figure that really shows how cars stack up - and not just in the 1/4 mile. To a certain extent it is not perfect, but at the same time it's one of the best benchmarks out there that is widely available.
I've raced Gallardos up to 150mph and I am telling you, they do not shine on top as much as you would think. They do have AWD, and that does hurt at speed, even though they have high a redline. I'm not saying this to discourage you from getting one, I'm just letting you know that you should give your CLS more credit

For what its worth: the Gallardo and 997TT were the two main competitors when I bought my SL65, and obviously you can see the outcome of that decision.
Good luck,

Not trying to put down my car but my chances are slim. When it all comes down to it I'm looking at the Lambo because I want a "toy" and their more affordable now.
I personally love the Gallardo...and the people that make it (I visited the factory/museum in S'Agata Bolognese and they were 1,000,000 times nicer and more personable than the Ferrari people). With that said...you should factor in the maintenance/repair costs on the Gallardo...especially with e-gear. The e-gear tranny isn't cheap...I would do a little research on some of the repair and maintenance costs of the specific car you are interested in. If I remember correctly, the clutch replacement is in the $2-4K range...and a serious problem with e-gear can run above $10K. I believe Lamborghini's have a 3 year warranty...and that can explain the huge depreciation on the 2005 models.
Other than the e-gear, I hear that that car is pretty bullet-proof.
Good luck...and I hope you find the perfect one!!!

If you can get an LP560, then in terms of decision, game over

. I bought it as a "Toy" to be honest and now with the economy where it is today I can purchase a Gallardo for $100Kto $116K with low miles. I wish I could keep both but I can't convince the wife that we need 2 high end cars that I will only drive 7000 miles a yr
I might try and get 10,000 miles this yr.... lol

I might try and get 10,000 miles this yr.... lolAlso, not trying to start up another argument, but Marcus is 100% spot-on about the gallardo's speed. And he's not talking about his SL65, I am sure he had a few runs when he had his E55. The gallardo's best performance area is 0-60, owing to the 4-wheel drive. After that, the driveline losses continue to mount the faster you go and it has a definite power disadvantage at the top end vs. a 2wd car.

And Motor Trend got 4.2 0-60 and 12.4 in the 1/4 in a STOCK E55...

By contrast, Car and Driver only got 4.1 0-60 and 12.4 in the 1/4 in a Gallardo:

And your Motor Trend got 4.7 0-60 and 13.08 in the 1/4 for the Gallardo :

I'm telling you, they really are slower than stock AMG's or M cars, and MUCH slower than an AMG or M with even mild mods. The Superleggera and LP640 are obviously a whole other ballgame, but I don't think the OP is talking about buying a $200k+ car, he's talking about a regular Gallardo...
http://motortrend.automotive.com/389...rformance.html
I think this Motor Trend test is more indicitive of the Gallardo's performance...which is a little slower than an E55's performance. something was definitely off in that other test.
