Still No Refund From MHP.....
I am really sorry to other members that I have to ignite this debate once again, however I feel that people should be made aware of the status of the refund I was promised by Andy/MHP and his "Money Back Guarantee".
I requested a refund for both of my tunes in writing to Andy on the morning of January 31st. At some point I amended my request only asking for one tune to be refunded. After countless e-mails, text messages and phone conversations I still have no refund. It is now going on 6 weeks since my initial request. Two weeks ago today he stated the Dave Kasper would be issueing the check directly to me, I verified my mailing address, requested a tracking number, but still no check.
...Andy, where is my check? Don't make me post a link to this thread on every automotive board on the internet, because I will do it.

Unfortunately I sent Andy/MHP the funds in the form of a check out of my business account. I usually try to pay tuners with a check vs. a credit card on big ticket purchases because they get charged a couple percent by the credit card companies. I guess that burned me this time.

I would think that if a forum sponsor is not standing behind their "money back guarantee" that the forum has a responsibility to it's members to make sure this doesn't happen again. IBAdrian, are you listening ??
Sorry Jim, that's a bummer dude. I remember Andy saying that since Dave does the tuning and Andy doesn't have much more to do with it than collecting the money....if there was a problem with the tune, it would come out of Dave's pocket. Perhaps thats the hold up here. Maybe Andy told Dave to credit you out of his own pocket and Dave doesn't think he did anything wrong that would require him to make you whole. Who knows....just brainstorming....

Jrcart, it stinks that you've had to wait this long for it, but I can't imagine that if Andy said you'd get paid back, you wouldn't for some reason? I mean, why make good on the "money back guarantee" for every customer that wanted it, except one? If the tuner didn't intend to ever make good on the offer, one would think the tuner would come up with some lame excuse for each and every client who requests it...

Maybe contact them when they get back from tuning cars in Dubai? BTW, OT comment... when do you get your car back - saw your post that said you still don't have it?!? That sucks, it's a beautiful car...

in these times it's best to pay vendors and stores via credit card. i paid for some custom furniture in October for delivery last month. the store closed down a 2 months ago with no way to contact the owner and no delivery of furniture. they credited my card. they also helped me with my wheel combo purchase from a forum vendor that i posted a thread aboput last month.

thats good for the tuners but not their customers. 2-4% to amex for big ticket items adds up for a tuner. sounds like they might be holding out on payment for your informing other members of the situation.

I don't buy a damn thing except on a credit card these days, and usually amex. They are by far the best about crediting you for disputed merchandise.
