Nah, bottom is either CL or S, I forgot which. Not sure why AMG put the larger heat exchanger in them and not us!!

i should have figured that out, model 211 refers to W211.
so i guess that would be the same for the C219?

so is part 110/11 the OEM Behr heat exchanger?

a quick question when you turn the car on does the IC pump also start. The reason i am asking this is because when i put my CM30 pump and bleed the system i don't want to hook the CM30 pump to a 12v source in order to bleed the system.

I do not know what happens at startup but MB switched the temp at which the pump comes on back in an '06 ECU flash in an attempt to extend the life of the pumps.

Far as I know. Pump only comes on when needed. So under WOT and at cetain higher temps.

Not sure of the parameters of those, but clicking start on the key in the garage is not gonna turn her on.

Regardless of how the pump is activated, it’s imperative to properly evacuate all the residual air from the intercooler core in order to maximize its effectiveness.

Because the intercooler is at the uppermost point in the fluid circuit, it’s a naturally-occurring airlock. MB’s workshop procedure necessitates closing off the core’s return hose – downstream of the vent nipple - to properly bleed the system. The resultant backpressure/restriction forces any trapped air from within the core.

I use a Quick Grip clamped on the hose. Alternatively, a hose clamp can be affixed to serve the same purpose, even while you’re underway.
