Just to up date everyone since there have been some folks posting about problems getting in touch with Michael Case etc. I've had nothing but good service so far. He always answered my direct call or called me back promptly. I ordered the 5/70 at the end of February and just as he told me and the confirmation stated, I received my paperwork yesterday, about 3 weeks after purchase.
I will update if I use the warranty.

To update the people who are still in the market for a warranty...
I just purchased a Aftermarket warranty underwritten by Mercury Insurance. I bought a 5 year 85,000 miles (which is from the delivery date) Gold or platinum coverage which is basically there exclusionary policy for $3,000 after he knocked it down for me. My deductible is ZERO. I purchased the warranty through Allied Solution which sells many of the mercury products. I was referred to them through someone at Mercury's home office. My agent was extremely easy to deal with and he was very knowledgeable.
The warranty is pretty comprehensive. Dealing with anything Chrysler just doesn't settle well in my stomach. Also, it seems like the pricing for those warranty are going up not to mention it's hard dealing with Mike Case
The stock price was something like $3,400. I think I got a deal...
for those who want to purchase here is the guys info
Damian w/ Allied Solution (Based in So Cal)
800-826-9384 x23319
p.s. you can't file a claim within 30 days and 1,000 miles from the time of purchase.

I went to Mercedes of Greeenwich in Ct. to ask about purchasing an after market warranty. They use Fidelity, i was quoted $3950, for a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. This is on a 2006 CLS 55 with 38,000 miles.

My car is an 02 CL55 with 70K miles and I got the Chrysler warranty for 3 years (unlimited mileage) for $2,850 with a $200 deductible. I got their Maximum Care (Almost bumper to bumper) and to date have already had claims in excess of the premium so if you can get covered with them it would certainly seem that you could get a longer warranty for substantially lower cost.....I have no interest in the Chrysler Warranty other than it is a very good deal and my claims experience has been very positive.
Good luck!

A friend of mine sent me there, he has a 2004 sl 55 and purchased a 5 yr, 70,000 mile 0 ded., warranty from them less than a year ago for $3,000. I could see if the price went up $900, but add to that knocking off 4 yrs., and 58,000 miles and thats insane.

For me 2002 CL55 Bought December of 2009 with $200 Deductible.
3 years unlimited mileage (had 67K at time) and paid $2850.......could have had $100 deductible for $500 more but chose $200 deductible.

Did you pay the fee via CC? I did it this way and got a call from Michael Chase within a day telling about how to get the car checked out and the form that needed to be filled in to activiate the warranty. I think if they have $$ in hand they will do their best to get you covered.
Good luck!

SL55 AMG
Guys, seems to be lots of speculation on this thread. I have a few thoughts that may clarify things, having said that I am not versed on CSC current policy terms or changes since I've dealt with them From what I gather, the CSC 7yr 100K mile is not for cars whose factory warranties have expired -it;s for cars still under factory warranty or CPO... and works from expiration date of that said factory or CPO warranty...this is one type of plan offered for most newer vehicles
On used cars without warrany (expired factory warranty, and not CPO), they offer 2 plans - 100 ded and 200 ded. The longest plan is the 5 yr 70K mi plan 'Maximum Care' Warranty Package. Cars are eligible based on number of miles and condition on the vehicle and the year/date of manufacture. Also a suggested evaluation may be needed for vehicle condition inspection prior to the warranty being issued. This may be on a case by case basis depending on the terms and the candidate vehicle.
I've had 2 cars now with CSC...I've also dealt with both Mike Case and Todd...the above is my understanding of the situation. My most recent CSC for my SL55 was purchased just over a year ago. Hope this helps

Ok, called Mike Case yesterday and he answered on the first ring. He quoted me prices on several plans. Today i called Mike and left him a message, he returned my call within 15 min.. I had several questions which he answered, and i purchased the 5 yr., 70,000 mile contract for $3,510. Mike was very easy to deal with, and i feel much better now that i have a warranty.

I'm pretty sure it's from the date that you purchase the contract.. at $3500 for 1 yr., you'd be better off taking your chances on something breaking w/o warranty

I am hoping things have changed, but as of feb this year, mike case said they would not cover E55's if you have over 60K miles. If anyone over 60K miles just purchased one & you did not have an existing warranty please let us know. Mike said it could change & to keep trying. Under 60K & without an existing warranty it was a case by case basis, at least thats what he told me over the phone in Feb

That would be amazing. An additional full 5 years and plus another 70k on top of whatever miles you already have on the odo?
A bargain of a lifetime if it were true.

No wonder they don't want to sell them anymore.
