From the sounds of it, the CSC Maximum Care is the way to go after the factory warranty expires ... thanks to all the replies and great info in this thread.

I just spoke with a local Chrysler Dealer and he said that they had stopped offering service contract for Mercedes in California. He also said that they will reinstate service contracts on Mercedes in about a Month...

If it is true that Chrysler is moving away from service contracts on non-warranty cars, there is a silver lining. Those of us who purchased MaxCare warranties in the last year just got a decent bump in our resale value

I love my E55 and haven't had any problems in the short time I've owned it. With that said, I definitely like the piece of mind knowing that I have a full coverage warranty protecting my investment (and my pocket book).

An E55 is not an investment nor should it be thought as one.

The Chrysler plan has been proven to provide the best coverage for the money. I've never heard of Greenlight until today, and I would be wary if I were you. Do a lot of research and actually call the BBB to check on their rep.

Look at the top right corner....BBB approval.

Maybe Chrysler's warranty has become norm here.

The elite contract is worded as an exclusionary policy which is a good thing I guess. But this would be the first i've heard of them as well. Only 2 resovled complaints against them since 2004... seems like a very low number over 6 years. So i'd be worried that they aren't writting a lot of contracts.

starting this process with Mr Case and will keep you updated. I went to the site. filled in some info. downloaded the 1 page inspection form. waiting on his phone call to clarify some details about my current extended warranty before I move forward. talked with MB here in TX and they use a preferred protection basically from the Dealers them self. 4/48000 was 4800.00 , can you say Stealers. I will cont to look.

Does anyone know which company(s) the BMW-M guys are using? I'd be interested to here about any legitimate vendors if they know of any. I have 1 year cpo starting soon although I purchase an additional 2 years from mercedes for $4,800 at time of purchase. I would like to cancel it and purchase something cheaper towards the end of my CPO. At the moment, I can't cancel it with confidence while thinking that Chrysler will not be offering anything in the near future.

I believe EasyCare has been used by the e60 M5 guys. I know some members on this forum use EasyCare also but I got a quote and if I remember correctly it was $5-$6k which is about 1/4 of what I bought the car for so I declined

There's been a lot of discussion good and bad with Michael Case but I just wanted to let you know of my experience.

About a month ago I inquired via phone about the different plans and got Michael right away on my initial call. He was very helpful and even suggested I wait a month to purchase since I still had another month or so left on my factory plan.

He told me my best bets were either the 4/unlimited or 5/70 Max Care plans and that I wouldn't need the inspection as long as I called before the factory warranty expired.

I called him today just to requote and tell him I was ready to purchase. I left a voice mail and got a call back in about 20 minutes. I placed the order online for the 5/70 Max Care.

Cost $2,760 for 5/70 @ $200 deductible.

He said I should have the paperwork in a couple of weeks. I will do a follow up post to verify that.

All in all a smooth transaction thusfar.

Just got off the phone with them, they DO NOT cover the SC and any of its componets, the airmatic suspension and any of its componets. They also will not cover the engine if the failure is due to the SC. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THEM!

Reading this thread, it seems no company provides warranties for high mile cars.

Any suggestions?

Great news for Southern Cali peeps! Torrance Chrysler has it!! Spoke to Kendrick there regarding my '05 with 66,500 miles on it, and he quoted me $4,605 for the 5/70. Talked it down to $4100, but realized I had left my wallet at home. He said I won't need an inspection since I'm still on my CPO. Going back tomorrow before anything changes!

If you are over 48,000 miles, you will need an inspection. At least, that's what I had to do. I was also under an extended certified Mercedes warranty.

Easycare will warranty cars up to 80,000, but they are very expensive. The quote for my 05 with 70k was $3700 for only 2 years or 101k miles. You can extend for another 2 years before the expiration. I think that was for the $250 deductible . They had a $500 deductible that lowered the price to $3100 I believe. It was their stated care, not the exclusionary. They said over a certain mileage does not qualify for the exclusionary.

I just spoke with them a few days ago and they said they cover all of those systems AND all the audio components (audio gateway included!). That was my only reason for pulling the trigger on 5/70 additional coverage.

are you talking about the Chyrsler plan or the one emoving was talking about some Greenlight company.

I still have not heard back from Mr Case or the company and I have left messages 2 times. not sure what the hold up is. if anyone has a better number to reach then than the one listed on their site.

I have just finished my first experience with using my Chrysler MaxCare warranty and I have nothing but great things to say about it.

Just picked it up from MB Laguna Niguel and here is what was done:

-Broken drivers' side window switch replaced
-Broken sumframe mounts replaced
-leaking transmission seal replaced
-bad auto trunk mechanism replaced
-New belts
-service

Total cost of repairs was $4600...my out of pocket was about $600 including my $200 deductable. Obviously the belts and service were not covered.

I highly reccommend the Chrysler MaxCare warranty!!!!

My first experience woth MaxCare

Well I picked up my car up this morning and it was my first experience with the Chrysler warranty as well.

Had the following work done;
  • Replace rear view mirror assembly (Homelink was inop)
  • Replace complete seat heater assembly in Passenger seat (Only Back was working)
  • Replaced rear seal on the engine (Found by dealer while there)
  • Replaced water pump as it had loose shaft (Found by dealer while there)
  • Replaced Rt. Side Thrust Arm Bushings (Found by dealer while there)
  • Service A
  • Engine Air filter(s)
  • Flush and replace Brake Fluid

Total bill was $5078.01

My total out of pocket $447 (Including deductible along with Service A, filters, & brake fluid)......so this trip alone paid for the $2800 warranty....and I still have 2 years and 9 months of maxCare coverage left with unlimited miles
