Eurocharged 172mm pulley group buy
Would anyone like to see a group buy for the Eurocharged / LET 172mm pulley kit?
What would the ideal price point be?

Can you give some details on it? I'd be interested because i'm not sure i like the huge 180 because of some lag. Also, I've seen plenty of tuned E55s with smaller pulleys put down great numbers.
Anything specifically special about this other than size?

You guys are in for a treat! I have been running the 172 for about a month now and it puts down serious power. It does not wobble at all and provides the same power as my old asp, but with less wobbling!!!
It also looks kick a$$ in the engine!!
Thanks again to let/eurocharged for all the help and great products!!

Any drive impressions between the larger asp and 172mm? Do you know weight difference between the two?

To tell you the truth, I did not notice any lack of power changing from the asp to the LET one. I will be upgrading to the big daddy 180, and the power change will be noticeable with that one!!
The car drives very smooth with the LET pulley, but it also drove nice with the ASP, no drivability issues at all...

I'm curious if you notice any quicker response from the motor with a smaller pulley. I have the VRP 180 one and noticed from day one that the larger pulley was causing some lag in initial acceleration. Once spinning, all is good and the boost helps. I just wondered if you noticed anything?
So, if you are going to a 180mm again, then why do you expect more gains out of it than the ASP?

I believe that a smaller pulley can put out as much power, especially as we leak boost.

But seriously, I think that with a proper cooling system the power of the 180 can be had without issues...
EDIT: I did not have the 180mm asp, I had the older design...

i didnt realize that the 180mm would cause more lag.
if the smaller pulleys can make as much power as the larger 180mm then what would be the optimal pulley size?
i have the 168mm now but i would like to make more power. im just not sure what size to get anymore. i just assumed it would be ideal to get the largest one available (after cooling upgrade of course).

im just brainstorming, but i assumed that it meant that the 180mm makes more boost than a smaller pulley but our cars leak excess boost so that increase in boost is not able to be used?
i remember in my old eclipse spyder over 10 years ago that the stock blow off valve would not hold much boost and that anything over a certain amount would just be leaked out, so once u change the blow off valve u are able to get more power right there because u can hold and use all the boost that the car was making. maybe its a similar situation to that.
once again im just speculating and trying to learn and understand as much as i can so that i can make a proper decision regarding a pulley upgrade. i wouldnt want to replace my kleeman pulley if there isnt much to be gained by doing so.

Spite never wins. As always, you attack without thinking things through. Now go ahead and correct me and add all the proper part numbers to prove me wrong and them fade from this thread like you do every other one that you try to attack me on. You think by leaving a thread when you are down makes everyone here forget?
You know, Tail. Some of us actually enjoy your banter because it gives us a good laugh from time to time.
As far as your question, ask Brad. He sure didn't hesitate to slap me with a warning for using coded curses and insults but you seem to have better luck.

I did notice some lag when I had the 180mm put in. I can't say for certain though, but the feel of my pants told me that there was some lag.

Congrats on a strong setup.
I am digging the kleeman headers with stock pulley and tune. Got LET lined up to do the reflash next. Should be stronger with the tune.
Still waiting for someone to part with their 168mm pulley.

i am rlly confused... what i was taught as i was growing up is that smaller pulleys spins faster than bigger ones therefore it makes more power.... that's not how it works with these cars or was i mislead

Can someone from LET come in here and tell us the break down and the difference between a 172, 175, and 180 respective pulleys..

No tail, only you don't get it. Pulleys are nothing new to the street scene.
with apologies to Chevy Chase Jangy you ignorant F**K. I've been playing with superchargers and pulleys since I could walk. My dad had a street rod with a 671 on it. Do you even know what that is?
They may not teach about them in crop dusting school but that is your issue.
what's your fixation with crop dusting? maybe because you're post are Cr*pdusting?

You have got to be kidding me, For once it would be nice if YOU actually thought something thru. But you don't and post wrong info anyway

Seem's that you're the one that pulls the disappearing act. You talk **** then never show up... Yup that's you

LOL, STILL Can't answer the question. Typical Jangy, get backed into a corner and try for head fake, and then fail miserably
