Hi guys, my brother crashed my Merc E, some dude forgot that when you see a STOP SIGN , well.. you have to stop the vehicle...

As you may know, i changed the old looking bumpers of the car, and put the E63 front end... the insurance company is asking me the VIN of the E63 so that they can look for the parts of the bumper, on line...


Where can i find a E63 VIN #?????

Hate to break it to ya Christian, but that car is a total loss...

Start shopping, no insurance company is going to fix that thing, when replacements are going for <$20k.

I have seen worse come out of body shops looking brand new, but yea ebay is easy. I use it all the time.

Looking at the pics and assuming the damage got into the front of the motor, it may well be a total. It is certainly into the inner fender walls and the frame rails which up the costs quite a bit. If you do have to get it fixed, make sure you are using a REALLY good shop so it is as good as new.

My insurance company totalled mine. Estimate for repairs came out to $42000CDN. Not sure which looks worse on the front end, yours or mine. I think yours does.

Didn't think mine would of been that much to fix. What's not shown is the interior with 3 airbags and 2 seatbelts. Interior was about $7K in damage, so $35K on the outside.

If you can not get them to total. You need to discuss "Diminished Value" with them. When you go to sell that car. IT WILL BE A HUGE issue. Clean title or not, Car will need to be priced 20%-25% BELOW the market, to sell. IF you can even sell it. Been there, done that. Learned from it..
