485 RWHP, 595 RWTQ, How it's done, with TVT

For those E55 owners looking for the ultimate upgrade in power and torque at an easy to put together package, we suggest the following:

This package is one of the best "bang for the buck" you can find.

Using 18% Drive Train loss, this nets you 592 HP and 726 TQ at the crank. Those are 6.0 v12 TT numbers...

PM for pricing info.

Probably around 40 RWHP and 35 RWTQ. The other mods were just there for support.

Honestly we didn't test them seperately. I would imagine they made a difference as the stock pipes are about 1.5" at the neck. I'd say it's a worth while mod for any E55 stock or modded.

WOW! Does that bigger volume of air coupled with some filters or stock filters equate to more whine as well along with the new 180mm pulley?

Yes, but it is very hard to hear over the exhaust. If you are standing in front of the car you can hear it. On a less loud car I would imagine it would be more audible.

Including new oil and coolant, before and after dyno runs, and installation the total is about 7500.00.

If the exhaust was kept stock to make things much quieter would there be a huge reduction to the numbers made?

These are great post tuning results but the 65 6.0 V12TT are underrated from factory they routinely put down 650 rwto & any where bet 500-530 rwhp bone stock...

It would make a reduction, the size is unknown until its tested. Stock is 2.5" with 4 cats and a big resonator. It would be less expensive though.

Uhhh, actually stock exhaust is 2.75" and the resonator is a straight flow-through with an internal crossover. It's extremely unlikely the resonator offers any measureable restriction. The four cats surely do, though.

The stock exhaust is much less then 2.75", but a tad larger then 2.5". I'd say 2.6ish. Believe me, 2.75" pipe slips right over the exhaust and 2.5" fits nice and snug. The resonator is just ugly.

To make things quiet what if someone deleted the cats, and kept the stock piping with resonators.

I was looking the intake over the weekend, and it looks like there is a restriction at the bends between the air filters and the throttle... so I'm a bit doubtful that those intake pipes offer gain in anything but noise, although intake noise can be good as well.

Hey there guys, the car being discussed by TVT is my car. And, I have to tell you that it runs extrememly strong. Its a night and day difference from the stock car. The supercharger sound is not audible at all inside the car, sue to the exhaust growl. From outside the car, you can hear it.
I posted a short video of me doing a run last night from about 20 - 110.
I am hoping to get the car to the track Friday night, but I have pretty beat tires on the car, and I have only driven on the 1/4 mile track a total of 3 passes ever. keep you posted.

Here is the video:

Also, Anthony from TVT is a stand up guy and very easy to work with. I felt very comfortable with him from the first time I spoke to him. And, from the time I dropped my car off to him, he followed through on every single thing he promised and said he would do. He even went above and beyond on a number of small issues he found with the car.
If anyone is considering using TVT in the future, feel free to contact me personally for a more in depth review of them. ANd, if you would like to see or take a ride in my car, I am more than happy to help out.

The stock E55 exhaust piping measures 70mm (i.e., 2.75"). The only place it's smaller is where it bolts to the exhaust manifolds. Some very early E55s had 60mm tubing, but everything from late '03's on have 70mm. It's simply a fact.

I'm not disputing whatever performance gains you're claiming; you simply misstated some facts on the stock exhaust.

What's the appearance of the resonator have to do with anything?

Are you measuring the O.D. or the I.D.?

The appearance of the resonator has nothing to do with anything, just stating my opinion that it is ugly. WHen you have a nice SS 3" exhaust you don't want it going into an ugly resonator, or at least I wouldn't.

It opens up the bottle neck after the filters where the tubes start at 3" and taper down to 1.5". It's a non-CF alternative to the Python tubes, and a tad more affordable.
