Drag Race: SLR vs LP560 vs F430 vs R8 vs Maserati
I think the Airbase's track surface wasn't optimal for launching. Are you guys suprised who won?

considering it had 42K miles vs. the Lambo's 5K miles on the odometer. The SLR is a monster!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I don't necessarily believe a 27 second 0-150 time for the Ferrari as the old M5 did it in 29.4 seconds and if I remember correctly, the '03 E55 did it in 24.5.
With the SLR being the king dingaling of MBZ, they should have had at least a 599GTB, or the LP640 there.

also to note i saw a funny car mag drag race with a new body S65 vs F430 that was funny to

You could also place an E55/E63, M5 there and they would still beat the R8 and mas car. those are saloons vs sport cars soo

Audi needs to get the RS6 engine in the R8 do not know what they are playing at with that car....it could be a reall contender if it had that engine
but then you could say the same to an E with the SLR engine / or 65 Engine
Hell the SLK with the SLR engine would also be too funny!

Almost all the magazines long term tests show their cars are quicker in the 0-60 and other speed timed tests.
Now, I dont believe mags 100% if even 60% of the time but since these long term reviews involve the same car; those tests are more relative and factual.
Even if the SLR is faster is this test, I would personally take the Lambo LP560-4 over it all day long...

I am not sure what the weather is like on that particular day but all the #'s seem a bit "soft".
I have a vbox that I have been data logging with. The last time at the 1/4 mile track Jay and I both gauged that there is enough room at MIR to get both our cars up to 150mph and safely brake (there is over 3,022 ft of shut-down area past the 1/4 mile mark). He shut down at 145+mph on drag radials with plenty of room left. I did two runs with my stock street tires and hit 142 mph on the second run before safely shutting down (I kind of forgot to check on the first run). Next time out I will hit 150+ to get an "official" 150 time. With drag radials my car hit 140 in 14.28s and 14.89s to 140mph on stock tires (with a 1 foot roll-out) on the 4th and final run of the day.
Comparing my times to that SLR, I will paraphrase from Denzel in Training Day...'SLR (King Kong) ain't got ***** on me!'

Imagine what the SLR 722 would've done w/an = launch? or if they extended this current 5 way to the 1 mile mark? just UGLY!!! MB FTW
Both R8/Maserati enter the race fresh from Barbershop, only to finish w/5 O' Clock shadow on R8 & Goatee on Maserati
& give obvious "W" to BMW, funny part they give the Exterior Styling "W" to the BMW
Please...

. I would take their results as more real world then any track that's prepped and has best elevation you can find, as it will be somewhat repeatable on the roads…yours won’t be
As for which I would take...SLR hands down, the lambo is cool, but come on have you seen a black or blue SLR?
Red interior?...the sound?
The two hot circular bubbles it makes from the side exhausts if you look at it when it’s coming at you straight?
Have you seen the matt black one on 6 speed?
Let’s not forget it’s a Super car…not a sports car. Rivals are Enzo/ Carrera GT… the merci at the time was no match

And oh…I have seen around 3-4 SLR 722’s here and an SLR GT

Such evil monsterous venom are in those cars

Just think what a modded SLR would do
