Pittsburgh Raceway Park-Saturday 4/18/09
Like the title says, I'm planning on going to Pittsburgh Raceway Park (located in New Alexandria off of Rt. 22, just past Delmont) for their Test 'n' Tune this Saturday. My brother will have his 335xi, I'll probably be driving a SL55. I thought that some local members might want to come out and get some runs in with us, let me know if you plan to attend, or want to caravan out together. The Test 'n' Tune is from 12-5 in the afternoon, and the weather is looking excellent![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
P.S.-
I know this is the wrong section, and I already posted this in the regional section which seems to get no traffic. So I figured it can't hurt to post it here as well.

2005 SL600, 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite
I grew up in the vicinity and came upon Raceway Park while on a business trip in the area. Didn't know what it was but was curious because I have wanted to see what my SL600 could do in the quarter mile. I will try to get out there sometime when I come to visit the family, but it will not be this weekend.
How many runs can you expect to get in? Is there a track or just a drag strip?

Good to hear, let me know if/when your in town and maybe e can get together.
It's just a drag strip, and depending on how busy it is, you can get anywhere between 3-10+ runs in.
There is a road course north of Pittsburgh in Beaver Co., called BeaveRun.

For the out of state people:
Raceway park used to be called Keystone dragway, and yes it is a 1/4 mile DRAG ONLY. They have paved their return lanes, used to be gravel and I pikced up a NAIL in a new slick back in the late 80's![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
It is a FAST track, as compared to Quaker city in nearby Ohio. My stang would run mid 12's all day long at Keystone/Raceway, and would run high 12's at Quaker. Quaker is a slight uphill.
And YES, Beaverun is located in western pa, Wampum to be exact about 1 mile North of the turnpike, aka I 76 on state road 18. GREAT smooth track, which I now live by, aka shorter tow if I break![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
See yeah![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
PS: VERY low key rule inforcement at Raceway guys for you guys in the 11's, just make sure to wear pants on hot summer nights. I was thrown out once, with a roll cage, helmet and five point harness, because I was wearing shorts, I know me bad.
