The new M5 is getting a twin-turbo version of the existing V10, to compete with Audi's TT Lamborghini V10. I'm not sure why everyone thinks the 5 would be going back to a V8.... I've seen several sites that talk about the TT V8 as well as the TT V10.

I can attest to the new TT BMW motors being the cats meow. ![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
I just picked up a new toy to play with...a 135i 6 speed (loaded) and it has no turbo lag and torque from 1500RPM to redline. I believe it is 300/300 now and I have 400HP/430lb Ft of torque on the way from Dinan and expect it to challenge most things on the road as it only ways 3,400lbs. The brakes are massive 6 piston setups on the front with rotors that fill the 18" wheels so it stops as good as it moves out. Furthermore, it is 100% loaded and the interior quality and trim level is equal to the E55 in a car that was only $44K.
If this is the new face of BMW, I'm there for a TT M3 or TT M5 as power levels should easily be 500-650HP with a mild tone and bolt ons.![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)

And yes, my 335i trapped over 120 mph with just tune/tires/fuel/3500lbs.
11.783 ET with no burn out or limited slip.
My mods could all be done in less than 1hr to any 335i!
And talking about 135i BMWs, how about this?:
There is a 135i BMW that just ran in the 11's with stock Run Flats, Airbox, Rear Exhaust, intercooler, etc. Just a midpipe and intake scoops (which do nothing at all). He was trapping over 119mph also. And now for the clincher, he did all his runs launching in 2nd gear! (because of the poor traction of the stock tires)

I love the JB3 setup and it seems to produce tons of power for the money ($580). Sadly, I am going with the slower and FAR more expensive Dinan package so I can toss my local Dinan BMW dealer the keys and say "figure it out boys". I know there has been a lot of hate towards Dinan but having owned 3 complete Dinan cars, I have never had a warranty issue that wasn't easily resolved.

The idea is to get BETTER fuel economy. I can attest to the fact that my M5 averages 12.5mpg, and with turbos it would be somewhere around 7mpg.

I think I'm going to go with a P-Car (GT3) to replace the M5 when the time comes.
To me, the beauty of an M is found in the high-revving engines--I'd rather have n/a all the way over f/i.

I used to love TR back about 5 or so years ago when they were first starting. now they've become so diluted that you see all the formerly Evisu-wearing hood rats wearing them.

I think it's all a matter of personal preference. I'd rather have an engine that screams up until 8,400rpm than one that has a good amount of torque up until 4,400rpm.

the 335s will all start running over 120 soon,yo rickter that guy is running a new map that just got put out.
they are making way more power than the first tuned 335s on dragtimes.they call it the turbo melter map for a reason lol.
and the procedes are now running on the can bus and will make more power also, there only a few with the beta maps out there but the cars are getting faster and faster.
hes not the only kid who trapped 120+ theres another thats running the same tune and also broke 119 and these are normal 335s not tuner cars.

Looking for maximum horsepower for your 135i or 335i? Our 135i made 440rwhp / 426rwtq using the JB3 with a race gas map, Riss Racing downpipes, Riss Racing catback, Code3 intercooler, and the BMS dual cone intake. Staggering 175hp gains at the wheels, or almost 225hp at the crank! This map powered our 135i to 1/4 mile times of 11.8 and trap speeds of over 120mph! The worlds fastest N54!

So exactly what do you think I am running? Nitrous? LSD? Meth? Bigger turbos? Down pipes, intercoolers? You are beginning to sound like Terry's competitor! How about the same challenge. For $500 You inspect my car with a microscope and see if you can find one sign of tampering, wrench marks, etc on my exhaust system, turbos, intercooler, differential, etc. If you find nothing at all, you pay up, if you find that I had something installed I haven't mentioned publicly, I owe you $500. Lied about my tires?? By tires I mean they are not on the stock set up. No one reasonably would believe you are running 11's on stock RFTs/or wheels in the factory 18" size on a 335i. (Although that 135i did exactly that). And yes, if I was trying to hide it, I wouldn't constantly post the words "Hoosiers/DRs/Tires/Wheels, etc. Anyone can find my times on Drag Times and see that everything is listed in more detail. If I didn't have a sport suspension, and had the factory 17"s then I could still run on the factory wheels with the Hoosiers. But since I have 18"s to begin with, that wasn't an option. And the 19" M6 Reps that I normally run, definitely aren't an option for drag racing with. So what is it exactly that you have found to be BS??
As I said before, all the mods could be done to my car in less than an hour. Aftermarket:Tune/Gas/Tires (and Wheels!),3500lb race weight.
That is exactly why I posted the thread of the nearly stock 135i that ran in the 11's at almost 120mph, on stock RFTs, starting off in 2nd gear. No aftermarket downpipes, airfilters, etc. Any person with reasonable technical experience in these matters will know that everything makes sense. Suddenly these N54 cars with minimal mods are heading towards the 11's and trapping at 115-120mph suddenly.
You have got to be kidding me about not being able to run these times/speeds with a nearly stock car. Shiv (the owner of Vishnu) was actually there when I ran some of my numbers. He actually came over, looked under my hood, etc. I invited him to inspect it even. Believe me, he would have loved to have found a reason why I was running faster times than the car running his tunes at the same track, same day. Do you really think I can't run these numbers with all that in mind? When I state tune/tires/gas/3500lbs, I hope it is understood that I am not running on my 19" Generals! Of course it is aftermarket tires and wheels. I always try and put all the details in dragtimes.com for those that need all the little details. That is like you trying to race me through the 1/4 mile on your low profile tires from a dig. I still haven't seen you run in the 1/4 mile once yet, but I am very curious. If you are still stock, we should run the 1/4, and video it. I should out launch you on my DRs vs your low profiles, but your huge HP advantage may just about reel me in at the end of the 1/4 mile. It will be fun, we can get it on video. Hit me up when you are passing by one of these late evenings. My friend has a SL600 with tune and I want to get a video for him.
But seriously, to come out in a public forum and call BS on a person who has done nothing but methodical testing with public results is pretty bold. I think the last time someone claimed the same, well lets just say people still make fun of his accusations, time after time. As more 335i BMW run similar numbers to mine when taking into account all the factors, you will literally be eating your words too. And I think most other people who are knowledgeable on the subject would guarantee this to be true.

You really need to research a little more before you make such harsh accusations! Many of the people getting these high traps and great ETs do not have upgraded intercoolers, downpipes, etc. So the guy in the 135i takes off in 2nd gear, on stock RFTs, Airbox, intercooler, etc, and still runs in the 11's at almost 120mph! And you think my runs are unbelievable??Also, Terry ran that 120mph run months ago. His 440+ HP dyno was just done the other week. So, his 120mph run is probably just old news. Its easy to try and make these kinds of comparisons that you are making, but often are not accurate and without proper research.

Hotrod82 even lied about using different wheels on this forum he says
Quote:
my 335i trapped over 120 mph with just tune/tires/fuel/
on Dragtimes he at least admits using Drag Wheels : K1 17

How bout juicey telling us about your lightweight Battery/Seat removal/super light weight 17" drag wheels...

Terry's 135i is lighter than a 335i, & had to add Riss Racing downpipes, Riss Racing catback, Code3 intercooler, and the BMS dual cone intake. to accomplish 120mph trap @ 11.8
This is pointless ALL other J3 335i's w/race-gas/drag rad's run 109-113 @ BEST ET 12.40 Well you said it! I guess all that's left is running NOS if you have none of the other integral mods listed above, your claims are asinine...

I've ran Mario's 335i from this board numerous times he had the J3 Race Gas Map No way in hell was he even close to 120mph traps.

So what is it that doesn't make sense to you? Do you think I picked up 8mph by going to 17's wheels and removing a little weight? Maybe your math skills need honing. So if I am running almost as light as a 135i, and running around the same traps as ones running stock RFTs, what is so hard to believe?? Did you read the thread I supplied for you? And FYI, my results on map #5, regular 91 octane:
JB3 1.3 Beta II 3/05/09
50F, 91 octane. 17" Kosei/Hoosiers
Map#5
Run#1 DS Mode
¼ mile: 12.3 sec at 114.9 mph
60ft: 1.9 sec
1/8 mile: 8.0 sec at 92.3 mph
0-60mph: 3.9 sec
Run#2 DS Mode
¼ mile: 12.4 sec at 115.0 sec
1/8 mile: 8.1 sec at 92.2 mph
0-60 mph: 4.1 sec
Run#3 DS Mode
¼ mile: 12.3 sec at 115.3 mph
60ft: 1.9 sec
1/8 mile: 8.0 sec at 92.5 mph
0-60 mph: 3.9 sec
So read what about the guy running in the 11's at close to 120mph, 2nd gear launch, RFTs again:

Are you the only one in the world now that still thinks my runs are not possible? I think most people would agree you are in your own little world on this one... I can back up my claims with countless, documented information if you want. I've got videos, and printouts of dozens, of runs. Just look at my videos, and you will see that I am not running 25psi of boost either! You are the one that hasn't even posted a time slip yet, or have you?
On a side note: The BMW 4.4L TT is supposedly underrated at 555hp. Should be interesting!

Did I hear Mario beat you in his 335i before? His car has run a best of maybe, 12.6 in the 1/4 mile??

I believe the actual Tuner of JuiceBox3 Race Map Terry Burgers statements from HIS website say it all...
From JuiceBox website

Looking for maximum horsepower for your 135i or 335i? Our 135i made 440rwhp / 426rwtq using the JB3 with a race gas map, Riss Racing downpipes, Riss Racing catback, Code3 intercooler, and the BMS dual cone intake. Staggering 175hp gains at the wheels, or almost 225hp at the crank! This map powered our 135i to 1/4 mile times of 11.8 and trap speeds of over 120mph! The worlds fastest N54!

What about Juicee informing us on your extra weight savings: Seat removal/lightweight battery/super lightweight 17" wheels which you conveniently omit here on MBW? Why are you here again? seems every post you make your gloating over your latest runs when nobody even asked about them? go back to E90 world lol, Ohh wait they don't even believe you over there...
Edit:Mario only beat me when my Intercooler pump failed + collapsed engine/tranny mounts, made launching impossible, after Warranty repairs it was NO contest, we all lined up vs his buddy Dwayne (C6 Corvette w/Supercharger/headers ecu/tcu dyno tune etc) Mario got left for DEAD = multi-lengths & the C6 & I ran total of (2) races both door to door dead-even from about 30-130mph
