*** SCAM BY WELL KNOWN VENDOR ***

I will make this quick... You guys know by now that I do not talk trash.. Well there is a sponsor/vendor on the forum here that has been very dishonest with me. My question to you GUYS is, I have given this company many many months to settle with me and all that I get is "next week, next month, the machine shop guy was sick, the machine shop closed, a member of my family was sick, broke a leg, got injured etc. the list is very very long and I have all PM's to prove my side. Should I state the NAME OF WHOM I SPEAK OF? or should I not state the name and give them ONE more week to settle up? It has been since April of 2008 when I first gave a $4000 deposit for work to be done but the project was scrapped and no refund as of yet. TELL OR NOT TO TELL
please give your opinions. Thanks

Don't do it...... you should try to settle again privately and see how things go.

I think you sent a message with the post, I think you should wait....

EDIT: I just realized that its been a year! Wow, sorry to hear man.... I think you should tell the company at hand to respond in this thread and explain themselves....IMHO

I think you shouldn't wait and just tell. You spent $4000 bucks for basically nothing for now, I could understand that wait can take for 3-4 months because stuff happens, but A YEAR! 365 days that person had a chance to fix a problem, that is not acceptable

Spill it. Save people from scams, others will be taken if you don't. What the hell is going on with these sponsors?

A year? Rar, come on dude that's way to long. I can make a CLS by hand in a years time given all the parts.

You must be a really nice guy...
Had you taken them to smalls claims, you would have some resolution by now.

Tomorrow is a long road to nowhere.

I had a land lord that refused to return my deposit - I took him to smalls claims and won - He still owes me $200.

I know he has the property up for sale, and I put a lien against his property for $200 - Now he can't sell it unless I release the lien - I'd pay to watch that day.

I hear what you're saying Rick...... I know you're a straight forward guy, and you've definitely been more than reasonable regarding this matter; you've waited way too long already. However, you said that you're willing to wait one more week to try and settle this, right? If you've waited a year already, then what's another week? It maybe worth it to wait one last week to resolve this peacefully than to remain in conflict. Also, if you go public now, that tuner's reputation will be hurt and there may be potential loss of business, which may cause too much harm too rapidly

Rick you are a valued member here, I would caution you in helping to perpetuate the problem, by using us. What I mean by this is, your tactic may get your money back but the reality is that Newbie Johnny just put down a deposit for the same thing you did. The problem continues. And nobody knows about it! If the vendor pays you on Monday will you still post the name?
Threats are for kids, Real men take action. OUT'EM
Life lesson "deposit" to those that think a deposit is a good thing you are right, it is the first indicator the person/contractor/company has no cash and is in trouble. I hear deposit and laugh my *** off and walk out. I don't have the time to fool around.

I agree to a point! I would be very careful when giving someone a deposit.

Yeah that only works if you really are in the mafia. Otherwise you'll just get arrested and wind up owing even more money to the same people who already ripped you off. This world is fukked up sometimes.

I can't believe this guy waited for a year already. He needs to sue them. Oh ya, and post the name of the vendor.

I would make them aware of the post here (if they aren't already), and give them the duration of the coming week to settle. If they do not settle, then make a separate post here with ALL the details, PM clips, and their name in the subject line of the post.

I hope you get your money back and the vendor gets to save face. These are difficult times but there is no excuse for stiffing your customers.

I'm pretty sure we are not talking about 360 here as they are already beyond trashed.

My opinion is to let everyone know so that THEY are not in the same situation that you are.
