Just wondering if anyone else does this w\ e55

2nd gear, manual mode, 1700-2000rpm at whatever mph (20mph?) and just floor it all the way up to redline. it feels like it never wants to stop! in just a few seconds the car jumps to 80mph? that is my most fav thing to do in the e55.. (play with torque! in manual mode at a very low rpm)

my 2nd fav thing to do, roll up to a red light. start off slow in first gear, once it reaches 15mph , FLOOR IT. iv had 1 guy at the next stop light comment on the car "wow that car has really got some big ***** doesnt it?" "I saw you at that last stop light smoking the tires from a roll"

most e55 owners prolly just get in the car and floor it in auto mode , but if you like to experiment with your e55... whats up? at what speeds are you guys able to break the tires loose from a roll.. with my 19s, 15mph or less on a stock e55.

This is a pretty cool thread as I bet guys have different things they like to do.

The other day I discovered my favorite thing to do.

Dyno mode leaving the shop and the guys are like, "Get out in the street and let it rip"

Left it in dyno so ESP was put to sleep completely, manual mode and I start the tires spinning with brake. Once they ignite you can let off the brake and just smoke um forever. I must have laid down a 60-80footer while car was fishtailing all the way without brake lights coming on once. That's gotta be impressive to watch from a 4 door cruise ship.

I like to go at cruising speed (70mph) and on occasion I need to make a quick passing maneuver, roll down the windows, then down shift to 4th and gun it...

The rush of the instant speed and sound of the exhaust @ WOT is intoxicating...

How do you put it in 'dyno' mode?

My new favorite; when creeping up to the metering lights to enter the freeway (especially when there are two or more lanes side by side), I just keep it under control patiently waiting my turn. I roll down the windows, turn off the air and the radio. Soon as I see a hint of green I mash the go pedal and all hell breaks loose!!!! I think God himself smiles when I do this.

Note: Best to do when there are at least 4 other cars around you, way more fun!

Here is info on dyno mode. It's the video on the top

****please PLEASE be careful. Dyno shuts EVERYTHING off. ESP...Antilock brakes....EVERYTHING. We also have had reports that driving too long in dyno mode makes the car shut off/go limp. Something weird.

I did the burnout and then went down the street and shut it off.

If you really want to try something do what you do with the ESC off! That's what I do and you will break'em loose at 35-45mph. I also do the 3rd gear M mode at 45 and nail it, hold it til 6100 and next thing you know you are at 80mph.

all of these things mentioned above bring a smile to my face as I am reading. my E has become my daily driver since last month and you never get tired of the TORQUE monster. Crazy to think the 211 E55 came out 6 years ago and there still aren't many cars that even compare to it!!!!!!!!

I can't to get out of here and go home!

With my next contract I think I really need to goto Stage 1 at these prices as of late. Then it will be even worse.

With the way prices are as of late, you can go more then just a Stage1

You think your car stock gives you a smile now, wait til it's modded!

Your stock car should get a chirp up to 30 MPH without a problem.

Anything 2nd gear manual is a blast. Paddling thru twisties at high rmp is a nice change of pace as well. I thought is was just me treating metering lights as a live televised prime time drag racing event. Especically with any SRT around...

i like to drive on country roads here in cali, speed limit 55. I always have a grin on my face when I think about passing like 5 or 6 cars at once. Im behind them going like 45 (napa tourists) then in S mode I punch it...fly by 6 cars and pull back in the lane going like 130+ haha.

I love my E55 for all of the reasons being mentioned. LOVE!!

Mine can give a nice bark at 40 - 45 MPH and that is with 295s on the back. I think tire (size, type, condition) and road conditions have as much to do with it as power does, but man it is a wild feeling when that beast kicks in.
